Zhongqing Qiuguo Hotel (Guangzhou Beijing Road Pedestrian Street Memorial Hall Metro Station Branch)

The hotel is about a 10-minute walk from the Memorial Hall subway station, which isn't exactly close for those of us who commute by subway daily. The overall environment and hygiene of the hotel are good, and housekeeping is prompt. Perhaps because the hotel is 10 years old, the bathroom lacks a wet and dry separation.

I arrived at the hotel quite late, but the front desk upgraded me to a room with a super king-sized bed (1.8m)! The room was really spacious, and the bathroom was huge too. Since it was an inner room with no real window, there was a decorative 'window' and curtains. Besides a single-seater sofa and a coffee table, the room also had a desk for working. The cleanliness was alright, but I wasn't a fan of there being no towel rack. Also, the hotel's shampoo left my hair feeling incredibly dry.

For this price point, it offers excellent value for money in Guangzhou. The environment and everything else were pretty good. Given the price, I was a bit worried initially, as I'm very prone to allergies and often get itchy all over at night. But no, it was very clean and hygienic! The front desk staff were all very pleasant, not rushing or bothering me, attentive yet maintaining a good sense of boundaries. Highly recommended! Relatively speaking, hotels of similar quality in Guangzhou are currently priced at 600+ CNY. Before coming here, I also looked at another hotel that seemed quite nice, but all the reviews mentioned it was in a dilapidated building. If you're going to compare prices with other cities, then of course it's not comparable; the cities and locations are different.

Booked this on Trip.com and it exceeded my expectations! The location is easy to find, right by a main road, and public transport (buses and subway) is very convenient. The staff were enthusiastic, and the room was clean and tidy. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Guangzhou. It's in the old town, so food, drinks, and entertainment are all easily accessible. Really good, really good.

Great location, super convenient for getting around. The facilities are comprehensive, and check-in was a breeze – the process was very quick. They even upgraded me to a 2 PM late checkout, which fit perfectly with my schedule. Overall, very satisfied.

The room was clean and tidy, facilities were well-maintained, and the bedding was comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. The soundproofing was decent too, so it was quiet at night. The front desk staff were enthusiastic, check-in was fast, and check-out was smooth. It offers great value for money, and I would definitely consider staying here again on my next trip to Guangzhou!

The room I checked into looked exactly like the photos, so you can definitely book with confidence. This was my second hotel in Guangzhou, and I chose it specifically for the spacious rooms – it's a great option if you need a lot of space. The hotel lobby even has self-serve coffee, and they offer a comforting warm congee in the evenings. Plus, there were other pleasant surprises during my stay... A fantastic experience! While the breakfast selection wasn't huge, the taste was quite good.
