My experience at Nueve 25 Guanajuato, where I've frequented several times, has been truly remarkable. Situated in the heart of town, the hotel boasts stunning architecture reminiscent of a beautiful Guanajuato museum. On entering the premises, guests are greeted by an elegant bar to the right and the reception area upfront. While I often brought my guests to the rooftop bar, I harbored a long-standing desire to enjoy a drink at the entrance bar. However, during my recent visit with friends from California, I discovered that this bar, much like the rest of the hotel, is solely for exhibition purposes. Despite my request to indulge in a drink there, I was met with incredulity from the hostess. After some negotiation, we settled for gin and tonic instead of martinis, given the complexity of the drinks and the apparent stress it caused. Although the staff eventually agreed to make the drinks on the third floor bar and bring them down, their lack of attention and prolonged wait left us feeling neglected. Despite inquiries, the promised drinks never materialized, and we were left disappointed by the indifferent service. This experience epitomizes the detached and lackadaisical service that seems to be a recurring theme at Nueve 25 Guanajuato. It's akin to visiting a museum solely to admire the art without any expectation of interaction. If you choose to visit this establishment, appreciate its aesthetic charm, but don't anticipate exemplary service.
