Hotels Near Oro Excel in Guadalajara

First of all, I loved the location of this hotel. It's right in the historic center and you can walk to so many lovely buildings and museums, and everything you need is right there (shops, pharmacies, restaurants). Upon checking in as a Diamond Hilton member, I was happy to find out they had upgraded me to a room with a nice, spacious balcony with a spectacular view of Guadalajara Cathedral. (See photo) The top-floor restaurant has a similar view as well. The breakfast has a nice, tasty variety. I also enjoyed drinks with a friend at the restaurant on one of the nights. The staff are great and helpful too. Elizabeth really came through for me when I needed to extend my stay a couple nights. Another girl (Anayeri, I think) provided excellent service as well, helping me get my dry cleaning turned in, despite missing the 10am deadline. All in all, it was a lovely stay, and I look forward to staying at this hotel when I return in the future.

Stayed here for one week in September 2020, in a Jacuzzi suite. We found the hotel to be a wonderful place to stay..... Location on a busy street was not a problem for noise. Short walk to Centro Historico, and a quick Uber to everywhere else we went. Room was large, clean and well appointed. Jacuzzi worked well. Cleaning staff were very nice. Due to COVID, the protocols were well explained and the hotel was efficient in handling people coming in and out. Front desk staff were friendly. The Bar/Restaurant was quiet, great service, food was not the greatest but it was not bad.... I give it a 6.5 to 7 All in all... highly recommend this hotel.... price is competitive with other places.

I have stayed here for a week at a time about every 8 weeks since the hotel opened. It took a while to get running smoothly but now is an excellent hotel. Service is very high overall. Food is excellent and overall healthier than the surrounding hotels. Close alternatives for food at the office building next door or some smaller cafes in neighborhood behind the hotel. The suites are live and a great bathroom. These are the only rooms that have a bathtub. The corner rooms are a bit smaller and I prefer a regular room instead of the upgrade to a corner room. One complaint is the air conditioning units can be a little loud so best to run them constantly for background noise. Pool is a bit odd as it does not have many lounge chairs if you want to just lounge and lay out in sun. Exec lounge has great service now with bartender always interested in making unique drinks.

The overall environment is very good, but I don't like the steel frame structure, the sound insulation is not very good.

Hi, 3 Things to improve: -Bigger bottles of water in the room or 2 more bottles. -Faster room service and Bar service. -Better lightning in pool area. Nice facilities an the staff is very kind. Thanks

Overall it was a great experience, the location was gold, very walkable and close to lots of cute cafes, restaurants and Avenida Chapultepec. The bed was really comfortable and the shower pressure was great. I loved that they had a sauna and pool, but the pool was a bit dirty one of the days I was there (though the day prior to that it was clean). The staff was incredibly helpful and the food was ok, thought a bit pricey. The ac worked wonderfully. I could see myself returning!

I can last year with friends and loved QR so much I decided to book a week with my Husband when we came to Guadalajara. Jaime always goes above and beyond to help you with scheduling transportation or any other need. Daniel at the bar is the absolute best! Enrique and Luis were also very helpful to us with our bags and always greeted us as we entered and exited the hotel. The housekeeping staff does a wonderful job keeping your room stocked and cleaned. The food is excellent and you have to experience Brunch as it is a real feast! Absolutely love Quinta Real and can’t wait to visit again!!

Recently inaugurated this Terraza Restaurant is located on Pablo Neruda #2828, on floor 7 of the Hotel VoCo and a spectacular view, with public parking and all the comforts to go to breakfast, eating or dinner, celebrations or meeting with your friends. Dear Luna offers mexical cuisine, giving tribute to our Mexico through the merger of the best national ingredients with the aim of achieving the most exquisite tastes, we will also find drinks and cocktails, wines from Spain, Argentina and the United States, of course, of the Guadalupe Valley, which are my favorites. Music is pleasant, you can play while listening to a good selection of songs and the charming terrace, in the menu you can find from eggs, omelet, mugs, drown cake, papazules, tamal trilogie, Chilaquiles, nopal ashed, ashed panella, friggid, barbecue tacos, fruit, tees, my traditional mimosa that can not miss, sheep, French bread, hot cakes, waffles and cheese, to eat; cheese, tuna, aquachile, juice, salads, soups, tacos, ribs, chamorro, hamburger, meat cuts and day fishing prepared in various forms, including delicious options. We have been going on several occasions and have all been a good experience, clean, well decorated spaces, delicious food and balanced drinks in your taste. Monica, Angelina, Jorge, Juan Carlos, Raúl and Cinthia have been careful at any of the occasions we have gone, a team that is trying to provide a good service.

Our 2nd time in the hotel in the past 2 yrs. This time we stayed for 1 night didn't sleep at all due to the street noise until 1 am. They gave us 4th floor where you could hear everything from the busy road. Last time we were in 23rd floor was great. The pillows this time was very small and uncomfortable too. I recommend asking customer which floor they prefer and informing about noise level. Maybe better and bigger pillows should be put in use.

Very comfortable bed, pillows could be better, not so fluffy anymore. Rooms with two beds have bathtubs and it was perfect to relax after being at the Expo. Super hot water. Very extensive breakfast. There is everything. I loved it.
