Hotel Charlotte

Very receptive welcome. Room at the upstairs, back of hotel was a very comfortable king bed room. Pillows were delightful There were good options for dining in town and in hotel and next door. Only 24 miles from Oak Flats entrance to Yosemite

Boutique hotel and majorly updated from its historic past. Beds comfortable. Shower great. Groveland is a small village on the way to Yosemite. Three good restaurants including the on-site Tavern, the Groveland Restaurant, and the Iron Door Saloon that has been a saloon since the 1800s. Finn is the owner and innkeeper and he makes it all work with a big smile welcoming you to the hotel and taking care of all needs. All good. Recommended.

A lovely heritage hotel in the authentic town of Groveland. We stayed two nights and our room (8) was enormous, with two twin beds and a lovely roll top bath and over bath shower. The hotel itself and area were both quiet at night. The hotel is well looked after and has old world charm, but with every modern amenity. There is a shared fridge in the lobby, which during our stay had room for all the guest's items. Fin was there to greet us and was welcoming, charming and friendly and helped us plan our two day visit to Yosemite. The bar was well stocked and welcoming with a friendly and knowledgeable about beer bartender! We didn't eat at the hotel, but the restaurant was busy and lively during our stay. Coffee and muffins available each morning for guests. A perfect location for Yosemeti, with travel time to parking in the valley about 1hr 30.

Great location downtown, very welcoming hosts, a historic building, cozy comfortable rooms, outdoor seating in the back and a fine old lobby bar. Close to good eating spots and coffee bars. A real treat. We had a fine time. Highly recommended.

Hotel Charlotte feels like home. The team is incredibly hospitable and welcoming. Located just 30 minutes away from the Yosemite park entrance, access to the stunning Sierra landscape is quite literally in Hotel Charlotte's backyard. We stayed here for our Honeymoon and were so glad to come home to Hotel Charlotte after a long day's hike and definitely enjoyed grabbing a bite at the delicious hotel restaurant. If you're looking to plan a Yosemite vacation, don't skip Groveland, and definitely check out Hotel Charlotte!

We stayed a Sunday night on our way to the Eastern Sierras via a spin around the Yosemite Valley. Arrived around dinner, and was enthusiastically greeted by the proprietors, Finn and Brennen. As a historic hotel, we expected creaks and idiosyncrasies, but actually had only the creaky floors (and that was only on my side of the bed). The bed must have been a tempurpedic or similar as it was both soft and firm; the pillow full not flat, and the sheets… let me tell you how I loved the sheets! Even though we were on the first floor & expected lots of foot noise, I was out cold and slept wonderfully. The bathroom we had was clean and bright. Because it was so hot, we got to test the AC (works great). Bed lights were bright enough to actually read a book. The lobby has a cozy and social vibe, the restaurant menu looked great (they ran out of the cheesecake so you know it’s fresh) and they have a very nice beer garden in the back for enjoying the warm evening. Parking is in the back and a little tricky to turn into from the street if you are headed west (easier coming from the east) but ample for the guests. It was far easier to exit out the back of the lot than enter from the front. Totally great stay and I’d do it again if coming back!

Friendly host, great room ,room7, easy parking. Eat a snack in the bar for dinner as too tired for anything else . Coffee & donuts for breakfast included. Groveland very well situated for Yosemite to miss the crowds, we arrived at 8.30am. A lovely stay in a charming building .

The staff and owners are extremely friendly and helpful! The whole hotel is beautifully appointed and very clean. The upper deck and back patio are a big plus. It is obvious that the whole town is working very hard to cater to guests. We will definitely choose the Hotel Charlotte if we pass through Groveland again.
