Buck Meadows Lodge

The accommodation was very clean & comfortable & in a good location for visiting Yosemite National Park. There is also the Lucky Buck Café next door, staff were very friendly & the food was really good. However a word of warning if booking direct with hotel, as they will try to secure your reservation against the credit/debit card used for the booking, so please ensure you authorise the payment prior to your arrival. Unfortunately our credit card company thought the transaction was suspicious & blocked our card, which nearly resulted in us losing our reserved accommodation, I am just thankful we were not late arriving. Unfortunately the gentleman on reception at the time was not very understanding of the situation & was a little rude saying they had sent us an email, ( which we had never received & we did check our spam filter) & he said it was our problem to sort! Not the thing you want to hear whilst trying to sort other means of payment to secure our pre booked room & then try & contact credit card company to unblock our card. Accommodation in this area is at a premium, if you don't mind travelling a little further maybe consider Groveland as there is more choice of accommodation & a little more on offer in the area.

I stayed here for one night after a backpacking trip and it was the perfect place to rest and recover. The lodge and grounds are well kept and the staff is very friendly. The restaurant next door is great! This place is a great home base for a park vacation.

Great location outside of Yosemite Park. Great food at this lodge, soon to have an EV charging Station that is needed to relive any range anxiety. The Lodge was quaint and dated, the room was clean, comfortable, no problems with the amenities, and parking was right outside the door.

All right for a stop when going to Yosemite. Typical motel, not without charm, but rooms are old. The diner is nice though. Dinner until 9pm, breakfast as of 7 am . Plenty of parking space, so that was convenient. As said, it will do for a short stopover.

Buck Meadows Lodge, located between Groveland and the Big Oak Flat entrance to Yosemite, is a great and reasonably priced accommodation. Just a 20 minute drive to the park, it has nice clean rooms (with mini fridge, microwave, coffee maker), a great restaurant, an outdoor pool, a kids play area and laundry facility.

Decent stay for Yosemite National park. Close enough to entrance. We had a “cabin” room behind the restaurant , which is basically a hotel room and bathroom- but it did the job. We loved having the patio porch outside our room. FYI you check in at the Yosemite west gate lodge- had to call to find this out after we couldn’t find buck meadows lodge on GPS. Our only complaint is the automatic porch light outside the room has no light switch to turn off, so a bright light was shining in despite having curtains, which was super annoying! Overall, room was clean and shower water pressure was great and got hot. Lucky buck Restaurant right outside our room was a nice place and super convenient as we ate here twice.

We stayed in one of the cabins in the back. It was quiet, clean and comfortable. We ate the the restaurant for some meals and enjoyed it. Service was friendly and food was tasty. I'm picky about burgers and they were very good.
