Scenicland Motels

When the aunt at the front desk saw me call out my name, I didn’t need anything to check in. She gave the key and brought it to the room. She explained the use of the key, power supply and air conditioner. She also told me that the supermarket is close to the hotel. The supermarket is quite big. Everything is complete. Gave a bottle of milk The car parked at the door of his room, all rooms on the first floor. The room is large, the bed is 1.8 meters, 3 pillows, bath products, hair dryer, kettle, microwave oven, stove, towels, no slippers, toothpaste, toothbrush The rooms are clean. Greymouth is a big town. There are many shops and people. Dinner is at the restaurant at the entrance of Pancake Rock, not near the hotel. The hotel does not include breakfast, you will leave after you eat bread and check out at 10 o’clock on time
Greymouth Motel

It was the “no worries” attitude of the owner who made this trip so good. We booked last minute to visit a sick family member and had to bring a small dog as there was no time to book him in a kennel. The owner was so easy to deal with and nothing was an issue (had to call him twice from Christchurch with questions). The room was older style but it was so clean! I will admit that I was nervous booking so quickly and arriving late in the evening (could have been a disaster) but I was pleasantly surprised to find the beds all impeccably made, the bathroom was clean, as was the kitchen. Little bit of road noise as mentioned in other reviews but this place is on the main road also it’s Greymouth and traffic wasn’t constant all night… it’s also just up the road from the hospital and in easy reach of everything you need. I would book again.
Sundowner Motel

This hotel presents as nothing special, but we had a lovely and comfortable stay. The rooms, bathroom and decor are quite dated, but are immaculately presented. The location is slightly out of the CBD and whilst you can see a supermarket and variety store across the road, there is no (obvious) direct access, so you need a car to get about. The location is quiet, but there is a bit of noise from neighbouring rooms, especially when the shower is running. When we turned off the light, there was a lot of light entering the room and we expected a disturbed night, but we were delighted that sometime around midnight they dimmed considerably so our sleep was quite good. I wish more motels would dim their external lighting as the night draws on. The hosts were attentive and welcoming and we enjoyed some nice interaction with them. This is a motel that's far from perfect, but where the positives far outweigh the negative. We would definitely recommend it and stay there again.

Clean and modern accommodation, friendly welcome by hosts, good bar and restaurant with massive choice of delicious food. Would highly recommend staying here if in the area. Very close to West Coast Wilderness Trail.
Greymouth Kiwi Holiday Park & Motels

This Holiday Park is an excellent value for a powered campsite, especially for just one person. Some places charge for a minimum of two people, which is pricey when I come alone. I have camped here three times in the last six years and the price has not increased. The bathrooms, kitchen and lounge were all clean and well maintained. I made good use of the extra space when I needed it. Keep up the good work.
The Duke Hostel

Stayed in this room, excellent bed, comfortable as. Friendly hosts and interesting conversation about history of place. Enjoyed hot coal fire in the living room at night and the use of courtesy bike to get around given limitations with walking. Enjoyed my time here and would definitely stay again.
