Both a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium and a Hilton Diamond member, I'll start by saying this is a great Fairfield Inn. Probably among the top 10 I've stayed in over the years. Clean, bright, comfortable and friendly, it's all you can ask for in a Fairfield Inn. My wife and I, both retired, just completed a six week long trip around the country. This was our last stop before getting home. We were getting a bit burnt out on hotels, and this one was just the perfect place for our last night on the road. We booked a 2 queen suite, and it was lovely. Lots of room, nicely furnished, comfy beds and 2 HUGE flat screen TV's. Breakfast was a notch above the standard Fairfield Inn, and well presented. It was obvious that the person in charge of breakfast and the dining area took real pride in doing a good job. In fact, of all the nice things about this hotel, I'd say that the employees are maybe the most standout feature. Every staff member---from the breakfast guy, to maintenance, to housekeeping, and especially the desk staff---were among the most welcoming, friendly staff we encountered on our trip. Looking at the Tripadvisor ratings, based on my experiences, there is NO WAY this is the 7th out of 8 hotels in Greenfield. I can't imagine there's a nicer place in town. My advice is to ignore those negative reviews. Only con? We were on the second floor (there are 3) and there's not much sound insulation between floors. I suspect the people above our room had kids, and their footsteps were VERY loud overhead. Next time, I might request a room on the top floor.
