In need of an urgent update, outdated fittings, still uses metal keys, l business travel a lot and have stayed in many a hotel, including Premier Inn and cannot remember using a physical key for many years. Three electrical plugs in the room, zero near the bed!!!!! My alarm clock is my mobile phone, which had to be put on the other side of the room due to a lack of sockets. Doors bang behind you, not good for other guests and also for my wife and myself. The room was far too hot when we first entered the room, even with the window open it took a long time to cool down. Probably won't stay there again. Sadly, even my family who live around the area made comments to the condition of the hotel when we said we where staying there.

We had a brilliant one night stay while visiting family in the area, Rooms are clean and well presented, staff on reception are lovely and friendly It’s a budget hotel so you get what you pay for but it was certainly a comfortable stay and the restaurant across the road is fantastic for family’s they had a soft play area inside and an outdoor park And the staff there was brilliant too seated us in a booth and out the little tv on kids Chanel for the baby too watch made sure we had everything we needed before our long drive home was just overall so helpful and really made the difference to our trip We will definitely stay here again next time we’re visiting!

John, the staff member working when we arrived was an absolute star, providing outstanding service. He gave us a room change because the wind whistled our windows. He was lovely and chatty, so friendly. He was very accomodating and helpful with my daughter, who was obsessed with winning all she could at the tombola 😁 and helped us bring a massive table football game to the room. He definitely deserves recognition for being an awesome person.

Stayed here a few times after staying over on business. Hotel clean, staff friendly. Good value for money. Large car park. Rooms can be cold so check out the heater instructions as you can only raise by one degree at a time. Beds are surprisingly comfy.

Stayed on a Friday night breaking a long journey. Room was clean warm and very comfortable. Hotel is just a couple of minutes off the A1. The room had Christmas chocolates and activities which the kids thought were great. The staff were all super friendly. Really good stay.

Once worked at this hotel many years ago so was great to see an old work colleague Angela! Angela was always very friendly and has never changed abit. The hotel is struggling at the moment with the road closures around it so it's nice to see the staff still upbeat and professional. Great to see Angela again and as per usual a great stay.

Whilst we only stayed one night, we had a great time. The location is comfortable and it was perfectly accessible for my mum who was using crutches during the stay. The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, especially Sue on the front desk, and everything was explained to us clearly. We were quite a fan of the classic metal keys as most hotels have switched to digital cards, so that was a pleasant surprise. The room was clean and spacious with all the needed amenities and a few goodies. Breakfast was served at the building directly next door and they were very accommodating as they were willing to prepare egg whites instead of whole eggs for my brother. The selections available for both the cooked and continental breakfasts were ample and of good quality. Should we be in the area again, it will certainly be our hotel choice for the night.

We have stayed at many hotels in and around the area but this is the best. Staff are amazing, friendly and so helpful. Rooms are good size and have everything you need for a great stay. Pub next door, food lovely and staff again great. We only stay here now for past 3 years.
