We enjoy staying in vintage or retro motels and this was great! Manager was so friendly and addressed our requests. In addition, location was within a mile of a brewery that we drove a few hours to experience...which was also retro! We want to support small business and local motels whenever possible. We recommend this one!

Mini Staycation
We took a mini staycation with our neighbor friends to enjoy a night in Grants. The motel was nice and we enjoyed the very friendly customer service by the night clerk. We like that the motel is pretty much in the middle of all the “to dos” in Grants. If we had known that pets were welcome we would have taken our little guy, Bassett Dachshund cross. Next time for sure.

We were on our way to Arizona for a week vacation. We searched for private owned motels in Grants and choose this one. It was late afternoon when we arrived. The owner said they only had 2 rooms left and we needed a double. She worked out a queen room for us and made it work. If all you need is a clean room, comfortable bed, hot shower for the night this is the place. Front desk help was very courteous and helpful. Park outside your room. Easy checkout. Safe travels!

The front desk manager was nice. Upon checking in, she said they don’t usually rent out this room. The wall heater did not work so she brought an old ceramic heater to the room. Extension cords running throughout the room. It was a cold night and the portable heater didn’t do much to warm the room.
The immediate area was old, not much nearby.

Loved the property and the old time ambiance! My only problem was the bed was too firm for je and no plug in in the bathroom

Work in progress
While it’s clear the new owners are working hard to improve the motel, there is still a bit of work to go. I do hope they can make it a go though. The overall rating we saw online was really high so our expectations were far more then what we experienced.

Basic road trip sleepover
The owners are about 4 months into a remodel. Some items not yet completed.
Ie bathroom floor and missing closet rod.
The staff was exceptionally helpful. We just needed a basic sleepover on a road trip that was pet friendly.
This is a very basic and nostalgic Route 66 style motel. The bed was comfy. Room clean.
