The room smelled. The air conditioner was blasting cold when we arrived, clearly it was due to BEDBUGS! Was purposely upgraded to this room as housekeeping didn't have other rooms cleaned. The staff/manager knew there was bugs! Do not recommend this hotel!!!!

Room was very clean. Pool was really clean. Housekeeping staff very friendly and pleasant. Front desk outstanding. Late check-in and late check-out without any hassles. Very friendly and welcoming. Room very quiet except for the train late at night. But that was ok… small inconvenience the first night when the train horn woke me. Easy walk to shopping street and small interesting shops and restaurants. And to the beautiful Art Gallery of Grande Prairie.

Very nice room but....in the middle of the night the AC conked out and we could smell wires burning! Called and got a new room immediately. The manager was great but only offered us some Dennys coupons. It would have been nice to have our room comped or at least gotten a free stay another time.

I am a photographer so I travel to different places and I came across this hotel while I was travelling. I stayed on this hotel for 1 night and I’m impressed by how the staff take the hospitality seriously. The room that was given to me was absolutely beautiful. I can say that it was meticulously cleaned. The front desk and house keeping was very nice and friendly. They just smile and greet me whenever they see me. Shelamitte the lady that helped me checked in was beyond helpful and gave me all the information I needed for my stay. I remember Jodie from the housekeeping made sure that my stay was nice and comfortable. I’ve been to different hotels but this Sandman is my favorite. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family and would probably stay there again. Thank you Sandman Grande Prairie for the great service! This hotel deserves a five star rating! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I always enjoyed my stay at Sandman hotel grande Prairie. Excellent accommodation and services from Joanne and Ramona. I received a welcome basket from hospitality team too which surprised me when I got in to my clean and organized room. My second home in GP. Thank you

I was in need of last-minute accommodations in Grande Prairie for three nights last week, and the Sandman staff couldn't have been more helpful and kind. Within minutes Joanne at the front desk had booked me a lovely queen suite and a secure spot to store my bags till my room was ready. At the end of a long day though, I got back to the hotel to discover that my bags had been very kindly taken to my room for me, where there was also a lovely little gift basket and a hand written card welcoming me to their property. The room was spotlessly clean, the rainfall shower head was a treat, the bed was comfy, and I'd say the only downside would be the noisy AC unit, but that's not a deal breaker for me. I'd book again here in a heartbeat. I stay in hotels regularly, this experience stands out as one of the most welcoming! If you're wanting a hotel within walking distance of almost anything in downtown GP, I can highly HIGHLY recommend the Sandman.

What an terrible value and under trained staff. The manager was unable to make basic hospitality decisions for herself and all staff seemed to blame someone else for their short comings. Also having the nerve to charge DMF which is basically an extra tax to help the hotel pay for its marketing. Terrible experience and I suggest you spend your money elsewhere.

Rooms have recently been updated and are well maintained. Front desk staff is great, always friendly and helpful. I recommend asking for a room on the side away from the train tracks, it’s much quieter.

Just a great place to stay, I had 2 great sleeps, very comfortable, clean, and quiet. Staff were very friendly and helpful, rec room looked great, but I didn’t have a chance to try it. Would recommend to anyone asking.
