My family stayed a week while our dad had surgery. Our stay was so enjoyable. The location was excellent and close to many places to eat but also very quiet. We enjoyed having a great breakfast at the hotel every morning and met sweet Marie who was in charge of serving. Theresa also was so kind among many others. Would highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing a home away from home!

Spent two nights while visiting friends in Grand Rapids and must say it was way below the standard of the brand. It is quite worn out and outdated. The linin and sheets need replacement. The air-condition was a bit loud and not too efficient. The shower drainage was very slow. We were not informed on arrival that we need to request room cleaning which a rule that existed during COVID that should be removed. Overall

I will start with the positives, the bed and pillows were comfortable. The breakfast was decent. Some room for improvement would be the staff, in our two night stay, we only encountered one pleasant employee, the rest, not so much. The tub in the shower did not drain, was standing in a good 4 inches of water the entire length of the shower. During the middle of the night, one of the desk agents pounded on the door of a room a few doors down demanding to see an ID because she believed they were in the wrong room. This exchange lasted several minutes, very offputting.

The Fairfield Inn in Grand Rapids sent me an email asking for my feedback. The link to the survey didn't work. If it had, I would write that the tub drain was very slow, backed up over your ankles while showering. The door to the room would not lock. There is a hole in the carpet between the beds. The chair in the room is threadbare with the sides nearly falling off. The last day I was there the heaters under the breakfast items were not working. At 7:30 AM the food was stone cold. To add to my frustration they won't accept a review of the hotel and their website will not allow a contact to be made with Marriott. (Frustrating website) The staff at the hotel was very friendly and helpful. It's not there fault the the hotel is falling down around them and the company IT doesn't work. I think they are trying to get me to go back to Hilton.

Clean, efficient Inn, staff very helpful. Pool was clean and inviting. Room was clean and comfortable. Parking can be challenging on busy nights. The breakfast items were tasty and varied, and well stocked.

When I arrived to check in, I was told that my reservation had been changed to double Queen instead of the king suite I had wanted. The receptionist at the front was apologetic and offered a discount. I am rating this poor because I would have appreciated a phone call previous to this change. That would have given me the opportunity to cancel and find a different place. Also, when I asked to speak to the manager that told the receptionist to make the change, the manager didn’t work in the weekend. I took the discount and the room. Luckily, I am only spending one night. This is just a place to rest my head for tonight. I will remember this experience and not book a room through this hotel again. Obviously, reservations do not matter.

Had to stay the night because of bad weather. Good stay close to restaurants and store. Easy to find from the airport. Reception was quick and efficient. Will definitely use them again when we are in Grand Rapids.
