Hevea Hotel

A great little space, perfect for two people. Quiet, with a lovely patio space with a garage type door that shuts tight if needed. No view. Wifi and Air-con worked perfectly. Bed was comfortable. The kitchen allows you to cook your own meals with a range, toaster oven, microwave (temper-mental) and full fridge. Generally well stocked but could use a few additions (large frypan, pots with actual lids, sharp knife, whisk, peeler that works and large cooking utensils like flipper and spoon). Be aware you will have to supply your own toilet paper, garbage bags, dish soap and paper towels). Also, sadly no recycling. Oddly, the shower has no curtain so tends to spray out into the bathroom. We appreciated the sun umbrella and boogie board for use. Beach chairs would be a nice addition! Definitely a little tricky to find at night. The owners had suggested meeting us at Hope Estate and we should have taken up the offer. Lots of parking available on the street and the large lot below the units. Huge supermarket…Super U…about 3km away.

We have just had a week in this hotel and in summary , it’s a great location, fantastic value and I would not hesitate to stay here again ! Highly recommend the Amandier room! Very spacious . Loved sitting on terrace outside the room! Great location in heart of Grand Case. Pop across road and slip down path to fantastic beach! Great restaurants within 5 mins walking . If you do visit it’s a must for lunch at Cool Heure ! It about a 10-15 min walk out of town towards Marigot ! Simply stunning! I wish we had found it earlier! We also used local buses to get about! Terrific value! For example 1 euro each to Orient Bay! Flag down the bus, tell driver when u want to stop , 1 euro each !worthy of a tip too Overalll we loved our experience

I rate Hevea with high marks. This evaluation is based on the type of lodging that it is. Hevea is not for the all-inclusive types, people that love pampering or glamour. Hevea seemed, in July 2022 to be well run with friendly people working here. Positives; great a/c, comfortable bed, 3 to 4 nice relaxing outdoor areas, great location to buy beers ect. at nearby little stores/restaurants are easy walking distance, clean and well taken care of. If I have to report a negative, I should mention that our room did not have a safe to lock up extra cash. But we did not have a problem of theft. I would without a doubt, stay here again.

Very Friendly staff.good breakfast toi Can take either in thé patio or insisté or on the terrace. Beach opposite the street. The hotel is very well located with many restaurants and bars around with a maximum 5 mn walking distance. Definitely worth it.
