The Gotembakan Hotel is in a great location, just across the street from the Fuji Exit of JR Gotemba Station. The room is small but clean, and the breakfast is pretty good. It's no problem for one person to stay there. You can see Mount Fuji from the window🗻. To go to Gotemba Outlets, there is a free bus across the JR station🚌

I appreciated that they serve curry after 5pm for guests staying overnight. It's just a minute's walk from Gotemba Station, so it's easy to get to. You can also see Mt. Fuji in its entirety.
It's cheap but very satisfying. Great value for money.
I also really liked that they included a face pack as an amenity.

This hotel is old, the room is not big, but there is a small and old radio. Check-in is after 4 o'clock, and you can store your luggage first. The front desk will send it back to your room. There is a free shuttle bus to the outlet across the street. You can book a room with a view of Mount Fuji. JR Gotemba Station is opposite the hotel. You can take a ride to JR Mishima for 590 yen, but you have to change trains at Numazu Station and take the Shinkansen from Mishima back to Osaka.

We picked the place cos it’s near the GOTEMBA station. The room has great view to mt Fuji. Amazing ! Another bonus is that you get to take free gotemba outlet shuttle ( 15 mins interval ) 4 times per hr! Isn’t it great! The downside of the hotel is that it’s very old. The walkway, door and fixtures all looks rundown and no maintenance. You can literally hear the mattress spring as u turn. The orange light made the toilet quite creepy too.

The room is big, but a little cold. It's a bit far from Tokyo, so I'll stay in Odawara next time. The hot spring is very comfortable. The breakfast is very rich and filling, and the tofu is very tender.
