After an 11-hour journey, like everyone else in our travel group, I was looking forward to landing in such a new and apparently great hotel. After we got the room cards, I discovered that mine didn't work. No problem, that can happen. But on the way to reception the elevator got stuck and the lights went out. The lady at the reception who contacted me after my emergency call couldn't or didn't want to understand my English, so someone from my travel group had to talk to me. After about a quarter of an hour I was taken out. Thanks to our great tour guide, I at least got a cocktail as an apology, but only because I insisted. A hotel employee went up to the 4th floor with me. The card didn't work - I explained to them. I then got another room on the same floor. It was stuffy and hot there, the balcony door couldn't be opened and the shower didn't work 100% either. If I come to Nepal again, I will avoid this hotel.
