Melek Cave Hotel

No air conditioner! Not come with free bottle of water. No house keeping for our room for 2 nights. Breakfast is average. Very dusty and sandy because there is a construction site next to the hotel. Other then that, it is a unique experience because our room is a real cave. Great location close to main road and town center. Charming small hotel with beautiful decoration. Special thanks to the kind staff who prepared packed breakfast for us to catch early flight.

We stayed at Melek Cave Hotel for three days while hiking in Cappadocia. Our room was a genuine cave, which is a significant experience for visitors to the region. The hotel is located on the southeast side of Goreme, just a 10-minute walk from Sunrise Point and close to popular hiking areas such as Love Valley and Red/Rose Valley (near the table mountain). The hotel offers excellent service, and the staff are very helpful. I even conducted a Zoom conference call with my colleagues in Seattle, USA, and the WiFi quality was good. The only minor drawback is that the breakfast is quite simple.

Loved our stay here and everything about the hotel. But there was another slightly disabled gentleman staying at the hotel that needed special medication. One of the family walked him down to the chemist and helped him with his needs. Above and beyond service.

Many hotels at Cappadocia call themselves cave hotels. Not many genuinely are. Melek is one of the few real cave hotels there. Steeped in history, this place is a pleasure to be in. The staff there, Gazi and Sameh, are amazing. Communication was easy since Gazi speaks quite a few languages and English fluently. The home made cookies at breakfast are really very good.

Don't ever book this hotel. this is kind of scam/fraud. We booked this hotel when we had plan to visit the cappadocia with our travel agent. But one of us got Covid when we were in Athens. the authorities didn't let us to board for the flight. So we had to cancel this tour plan because we didn't had any other choice. we called hotel many times but no one pick up. and then we called ******* to cancel this reservation and refund. ******* tried to call them and no one pick up then they called again someone from hotel said manager not there call later. even it was day time. they kept us waiting until the our reservation time start. then we called again to *******. The hotel staff told them that we already checked in and we are there in cappadocia. Like how come? we was unable to fly turkey then how we checked in. When we was concerned about our health and safety, these hotel people was thinking just about the money. we was tried to cancel the booking 4 days before our reservation days but they was the one who was playing games. Anyways. If you book this hotel, be ready to lose your money if you have to cancel or change the plan due to any reason.

Melek Cave Hotel is the best affordable and reasonable price hotel in Capadocia, with an amazing view and its awesome cave styled rooms. The staff were the best part, they’re very friendly, helpful and flexible. The breakfast was amazing, very focused and tasty. The hotel overall is very clean and hygienic. I’d definitely recommend this hotel for anyone who’s planning to stay more than three days in Capadocia, the location is practically near the center and shops -2 mins walk-.
