Nice hotel, kind people, beautiful weather and city. The lake is breathtaking, clean towels and bed sheets, cute items including a small sewing kit and a fingertip size toothpaste. One problem : there's only few choices in TV channels, I was unable to watch UEFA cup final.

friendly and welcoming staff, rooms in European standard, comfortable bed, large television, balcony overlooking the lake. Good restaurant, fast service and generous portions. Well-kept garden, with bar service overlooking the lake.

Cap Kivu is an outstanding property. Don't be deterred by older reviews: the management at Cap Kivu has clearly been investing significant money. My room was top flight and brand new, the restaurant has been completed within the year, and the day we left the exterior of the building was being painted. All of this says nothing of the exemplary staff who willingly attended to every need.

Très bel hôtel au bord du lac Kivu. Avec la piscine en construction ça sera un must. Un peu éloigné du centre ville. Les chambres sont assez spacieuses, le personnel est très serviable et poli. Les repas y sont délicieux et bio. Par contre certaines chambres ne sont pas climatisées

Una sorpresa incredibile: posizione (sul Lago Kivu!), stanze perfette, arredamento nelle stanze, pulizia, biancheria da letto, tutto di qualità. Il personale molto gentile. Il cibo del ristorante é di qualità. Terrazze sul lago. Unico punto da migliorare: la wifi un po' debole. Un soggiorno parfait!

I stayed here for 3 days for a professional trip. The air conditioner in my room was not working. (They came to fix it but it stopped after a few hours.) The phone in my room stopped working. The WiFi in the entire hotel is terribly slow and unstable. Let's just say it doesn't work. The TV channels in the room are not working. The food is not very good. However, the hotel gardens and grounds are very beautiful with tropical flowers and luscious trees. The architecture of the hotel is very charming. The hotel security is OK. Of course, the view of Lake Kivu is magnificent!! My room actually has the best view :) Sitting by the lake at sunrise and sunset is glorious. But, after 3 days, I changed to a different hotel because so many things here are not working. It's definitely fading from its former glory.
