"I wanted to visit the SARAKAWA hotel as a guest to practice my swimming lessons. I was refused access to the hotel by security guards at the entrance for the simple reason that I am black. In an African country, I am surprised by such practice, however, I was in an SUV car. The worst part was that the agents asked me what I was going to do at the hotel. Funny question for a hotel that is supposed to welcome the public."

"Absolutely loved Hotel Robinson Plage. It is a surprising getaway in Lome. It is a stone's throw from the Lome Port of Call. So, there is a lot of business going on but it is really not noticeable once you arrive at the property. The check-in was incredibly easy. The service was impeccable. The sound of the crashing waves put me to sleep as soon as I sat on the bed. Stayed there two nights and loved every minute. If I go back to Togo or Lome Hotel Robinson Plage is definitely a place for me to visit again. Also, they have tortoises. There were three that were putting on a show. Such a great experience. Need to add that walking on the beach was incredibly relaxing. There were horse rides as well. So, you get a lot for a small price. Check it out."

"The hotel is about 20 minutes away from the airport (Baguida). The atmosphere is serene, the environment is calm The rooms are spotless. The staff is welcoming and always ready to assist. The food is 100% recommend. It was my first trip to Lome and first stay in this hotel, it was an amazing experience. Highly recommended 🙂"

Legal European couples welcome."

"The hotel staff were helpful, and my room was spacious and clean. Lots of hot water! The restaurant on the top floor provides a nice view of the Gulf of Guinea (except for 1 big building in the way). I've seen better breakfast buffets, but there is as much coffee as you want. Lunches and dinners were fine - pizzas were okay, the lasagna and penne arrabiata were better. The hotel if close to the beach, next to the Grand Marche, and close to the Government areas of Lome."
