Holiday Inn Express & Suites Golden - Denver Area

Family trip, Memorial Day weekend to start the summer with a bang, we’re from New York City area, and this was the 22nd year of the Road Trip; we have stayed at Holiday Inn or Holiday Inn Express for 18 of those years, so we know what to expect and we were disappointed this year. We had six rooms, and stayed from May 22 to May 26, and found the staff cool, the service was slow or non-existent, at one point several of us had to go to the front desk to get towels etc. The rooms were not cleaned every day, yes, I know that staffing is tough, however not having your room cleaned every day and having to get your own items was a bit too far. I still love Holiday Inn and will be using them in the future, but I’d skip this one in the future.

OK hotel. Nice presentation, lobby is nice, gym functional, beds are comfy. The breakfast was not good at all, no one is paying attention: biscuits are stale, sausage patty overcooked. Doesn’t anyone care? Side door key reader broken. Desk mgr. said it’s been broken for a while. Why? Holiday Inn can do much better.

Stayed here for one night after a concert at Red Rocks. Room seemed very clean but had a musty smell. Elevator and lobby/front door area could be cleaner. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly. Enjoyed our stay. I'd stay again, but could be a little cleaner.

Reached out to the hotel several times including the manager, Andrew Gustafson. Received one response to an issue from my stay in Dec 2023. Upon providing the requested information to Andrew, I have not heard back from the hotel or the manager concerning my issue. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL especially for the manager to just ghost me regarding something that the HOTEL promised but never followed through on.

We needed a place to stay for just one night in the Denver area. IHG generally never lets us down. This was no exception. The price was right compared to most of the rest of the city and the amenities were great. Pros: Chantel (spelling?) is fabulous. She checked us in and was super personable and friendly. The whole lobby area was extremely neat and clean. The pool and hot tub area was actually clean and well stocked with towels. The breakfast was well stocked and hot. The eating area was clean and messes were attended to immediately. The beds are a bit on the firm side but you have options of pillows (firm and soft) The room was what you would expect--it was not horrific or by any means bad, but it did not knock my socks off, either....which takes us to: Cons: I'm glad my socks were not knocked off because the only thing that seemed consistently dirty was the flooring. The hallways needed a good vacuuming, the hotel room was not to be walked on without socks or slides, and the bathroom floor was...unsavory. My only other complaint with the room was the bathroom--pretty good signs of wear in there--the shower hardware was a bit broken but the water pressure, heat, and draining were all there. My final overall con would be the fact that only one elevator worked and was super slow. We were fine taking the stairs most of the time, but packing in and out was annoying, like six minute wait annoying (I know that is not a big deal, but let's consider what six minutes is with all your luggage and kids) Verdict: I'd stay there again, I would recommend it to others. Absolutely adequate for my family and the friendly staff pushed it over the top.

Excellent hotel! Our first time staying at this brand. Convenient location, friendly staff, free parking, healthy breakfast options, clean rooms, nice pool area. Would stay here again. We only wish the breakfast were more varied from day to day.

I loved it. The hotel is really nice and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. I had the chance to meet the housekeeping manager, Gabriel, and I congratulated him for their hard work and amazing attitude. Brakfast was also good. I would definitely stay there again soon.

Room was clean and felt spacious. Staff was very friendly. Room was quiet and breakfast was good and out early so we could grab some before we left. Checking in and out was easy. The only thing is that they only had 1 luggage cart.

Front desk pleasant, courteous and professional. All in all a nice stay, and I know it isn't home, but easy maintenance should be done. In the bathroom, it had to be a woman's idea, placed soap & hand lotion containers on the wall...great idea.
