Where do I start? Hampton/Hilton as well as most other hotels in the area really screw guests over on rates during Spring Training. I used OVER 400,000 points PLUS an additional charge for a five night stay. The experience was less than satisfactory. Arrived on 3/19, headed to the room with our digital key. Unlocked the door and walk into a sauna. Not sure what the temp was in the room as the thermostat didn't work. Maintenance came up and informed us that the AC unit was functioning properly and it would take time to cool down the "suite". AC was blowing WARM air. Went to dinner, came back over two hours later with no change in temp. Changes rooms. New "Suite" was very cool and comfortable. Continued to work the front desk as new "suite" had a coffeemaker with NO CUPS or cream or sugar. The desk clerk, Johnny, got that taken care of. Before settleing in for the night we really needed some cold water. We had two bottles and went to get some ice. NO ICE BUCKET, No glasses. We drank warm water. In the morning I asked the front desk for an ice bucket and glasses. The ice bucket was no problem and the clerk was amazed that we didn't have one. I asked for glasses and was told they didn't have glasses. They serve breakfast every morning, so I took some plastic Orange juice glasses. We asked for house keeping every day. That was no problem as long s there was non "DND" sign on the door. Since we had plans daily and left around 11AM every day, I made sure the sign was gone. Worked for two days. After that I just picked up fresh towels and toilet paper from the front desk. Last major issue. I needed access to a computer. Asked the from desk where the business center was. I was told, "we don't have one anymore". I was told I could go across the parking lot to the "Home2" and use theirs. Took a walk and tries to use the computer their with no luck. The front desk was busy so i decided ti try later. Later came and I walk over to Home2 again. Same issue with the computer, so I asked the young lady McKayla if there was a secret to accessing the internet and airlines. she informed me that they have been having trouble with the computers available to guests. She offered to help with my airline issues. IMHO, Hampton Inn has really declined.
