This is the worst experience in my life, I booked that hotel online and paid GBP$40, I arrived at midnight and missed 8pm manual check in time while I didn’t receive e mail for auto check-in! no staff inside the hotel, no one reply the phone nor door bell ! The temperature at that time drop below zero degree and the booking website staff couldn’t contact them. Even if u could check in, you could not go out at midnight as you couldn’t come back again and die in cold temperature outside ! Ignore request for refund! No one will help u if u have problem in midnight! Eventually, no reply not refund after 14 days , while trip.com customer service provided good follow up for me .

Me and my boyfriend stayed in room 1 and it was stunning and it was spotless, it is also very reasonably priced. We were there for a function on a Friday night. The decor is beautiful and the staff were brilliant so attentive. We also had food in the hotel separately and it was spot on. Great location if you don’t want to stay in the city centre with all the noise I highly recommend it

We had our joint 30th party at the Fullarton suite on 24th August. The venue itself was nice, the buffet was good and the DJ was amazing the whole night - he had the dance floor full! However this is where it starts to go a bit downhill. The venue ran out of gas at 8pm (our party started at 730pm) so no one could get any draught beers - there was another party on the same night who had gas but “only enough for them”. The staff carried ice in bin bags from the other venue, just didn’t feel very hygienic and once that was finished there was no more. Two of the ladies toilets were also broken, so only one toilet available at the back of the hall, however both toilets at the back/front of the hall had no hand tissue or toilet roll most of the night - despite asking! Only half of the air conditioning worked in the hall, which we were only told on the night too. We also weren’t allowed into the venue to get the hall ready until 5pm and only if we paid £30! I’ve never heard of this at any other venue and after how much business you give them you’d think you would be able to do this. I have emailed the Fullarton and gave them a chance to respond however I’m still waiting. I’d advise anyone planning on booking here to consider other options, we did have a great night but the stress just isn’t worth it!

Arrived girl behind bar was friendly, then she handed us our key and showed us the stairs to go to get to our room, then she went back behind the bar. Didn't go over hotel rules about breakfast, supposed to be free WiFi wasn't told what the password was. Rooms could really do with a major upgrade! Room was very dark even with the light on, blind was broken so couldnt get it any higher to let more light in. Beds have a dip in the mattress so were not comfortable to sleep on. Bathroom had nowhere to hang clothes when you went for a shower. Shower could have done with a good deep clean, lots of grime round the tiles.Room did have a kettle for tea and coffee making, unfortunately the sick in the bathroom is so small you struggle to get the kettle under the tap and out again without spilling water. Had some food before going out that night, very small bowl of macaroni cheese with one very very small piece of garlic bread, macaroni cheese was very runny. Noisey at night when we returned with staff members and locals outside. Staff really not friendly or helpful at all. Free breakfast is offered but it only tea, toast and cereal, was told we could have a cooked breakfast but the chef didn't start until 10.30, check-out was 10am. Who wants to wait around for half hour to get a cooked breakfast. We ended up going to the local shop next door, which I will say was amazing and well worth the money. Certainly would not and will not be staying her again. If I could give it Zero stars I would so had to give it a 1 star

Intimidating entrance through busy pub to get to room, which in itself was dingy, curtains hanging off and paint peeling off walls, carpets needed a good clean. Noisy pub till late. Staff friendly enough though. Breakfast a disaster, not even tea was hot

The food on Mother’s Day was the worst thing I’ve ever tasted in my life!!bits were cold, bits were mild and other bits piping so must be reheated microwave food, customer service was rubbish as well never took the drink order for ages, waited ages on the drinks and then when food was delivered 1 of the party of 6 had been forgotten and had to wait another 5 minutes for it to come! To top it off all mothers get free champagne and we had 2 in our party and weren’t offered nothing I will never return here ever again

DISGRACEFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE! DONT BOOK FUNCTIONS HERE!!!! I booked and paid deposit in January for my son’s 18th birthday. Was clearly advised in the hotel when paying that the balance was due a couple of months before the party at the end of June (so end of April) … was given receipt of payment with no paperwork telling me otherwise not even an email (despite requesting this) ! Received a phone call from someone in admin at the hotel today out of the blue who was being beyond rude to me from the off, demanding to know when I would be paying my balance that was due last month all of a sudden. Asking why it was late like some sort of debt collector . I tried to explain that this was news to me and I needed to talk to my partner and we would get back to her later today to pay the balance as I was quite shocked it was suddenly due but she continued to be super aggressive demanding payment! In the end I decided to cancel the party as I just felt her attitude was so shocking, especially when the issue was that the hotel had not explained about this due date to me on the first place. Still cannot believe why this person thought this was an ok way to treat a paying customer. I was already unsure of this place to begin with as have heard horror stories about other people’s bookings. So sad really that a hotel like this gets away with treating their local community like this! We used to take our kids there for football presentations for years. Wont ever be back now and will tell everyone I know to avoid!
