Hotels Near Ng Fook Thong Temple (Tokong Ng Fook Thong / ங் பிஹூக் தாங் டெம்ப்லே /五福堂) in George Town

If you like Nanyang Hokkien culture, you deserve to stay here for a few nights. The style of the hotel is based on Nanyang architectural features. The interior and exterior design of the gate, inner and outer courtyards make people feel very relaxed. The location of the hotel is good. It is on the outside of Love Lane. It will not be too noisy from other bars and restaurants in the lane. There are many restaurants and bars nearby. I recommend Decheng Restaurant and the nearby stall of wanton noodle fried kway teow. The outside is also close to the sea There are also some scenic spots where you can take a walk with the sea breeze. The room arrangement is good this time. It is a bungalow on the second floor facing the gate. The bed-shaped bathroom is very spacious and clean. There are two small chairs for drinking tea and coffee and watching the birds and flowers outside. There is also a public space outside the door to read books, drink coffee and play board games. Even if it is raining outside, you can chat with friends and play games inside. The breakfast is good. There are self-service and set meals, and the portions are quite sufficient. Next time I come to Penang, I will continue to choose 23lovelane☕️.

Not allowing us to check in early. Finally we got our room on 13/F, see view from room. Bathroom is narrow, a bit old, bathroom door knob is kinda broken, with basic amenities. Pillow is soft and room is clean. Old school hair dryer. Boring TV channels. House keeping is good, the young guy on our floor is sincere, polite and hard working. He helped to change the rusty/dirty kettle. Concierge service is good. Most of them are friendly and helpful. We were trying to go for the 1 for 1 happy hour (poster was inside the lift), we missed twice during our stay. When we asked Recep on our last night, we were told it is for club floor only? This Recep was kinda impatient when she replied, just coz we weren’t staying on that floor, ? didn’t take not of her name. Good location in Georgetown.

Room was spacious. Pillow was horrible which I slept without it. Bathroom was furnished with good bathroom accessories. Breakfast was decent with a good selection of carbs, dimsum, salad, pastries, egg service station and DIY noodle station. Some days there are staff who make fresh rotis upon order. Our honeymoon at this fantastic 5-star hotel was an absolute dream! The location is unbeatable, within walking distance of all the must-see spots. The complimentary mini-bar and coffee service added a thoughtful touch to our stay. The staff went above and beyond, making us feel truly special with their warmth and professionalism – perfect for solo or couple travelers. Just a small thing, breakfast could use a bit more variety. Nevertheless, highly recommend for an unforgettable experience! 👍😊

We stayed with the Ascott group numerous times for its cleanliness and well-maintained facilities around the world, and Citadines Connect Georgetown is no exception. The building is renovated from a historical building which gives the hotel a mixture of cultural and contemporary vibe. It's a 3-story newly-built hotel and everything you see is brand new and tidy. The lobby is not large, but there are plentiful spaces to rest for a while. The room we stayed in is Studio Executive, and it's clean enough. The air-conditioning system utilized a touch panel for you to easily adjust to your liking. There are no drinking bottles inside the room but a water dispenser is just in the hallway, both environment-friendly and convenient. One of the things worthy of notice is the tap water system, where hot and cold water may be installed conversely. The hotel itself is located around minutes walk from Komtar neighborhood, and you can easily take buses to the airport or to other areas of Penang via the Komtar terminal. Several malls are also in this area to give you the convenience of shopping. The well-known hawker food centre at Lebuh Presgrave crossroad is also close by, where you can easily grab most of the famous and delicious local dishes here. CAT bus station is also not far from the hotel, and you can tour the UNESCO sites with it for a day trip. Overall, it's an excellent choice to stay here for its brand-new facilities, and its convenience regarding transportation, shopping, and dining.

We are pleased with our stay at the Sunway Hotel as is a very nice, clean accomodations and with all the facilities needed. The staff are very good, especially the reception staff and security guard who are very friendly and helpful. The location of the hotel is great and close to everything. Highly recommendable hotel.

Does the basics very well, like having good shower pressure, cold aircon, clean and ample space in the room. But as its a budget hotel, do not expect extra amenities that will wow you. location is also quite good.

My wife so love this Hotel, make her was so comfortable, relax, really enjoy the environment that booked the good place to stay. We will back again to this hotel in future.

The location of the hotel is very good and the landlord is very nice. The room is simple in design, but the facilities are very new and clean. The quilt, bed and pillow are very comfortable. The electrical appliances in the room are very complete, even the unexpected dryer is available. The living room is very large and the children play together. There is also a swimming pool in the hotel, which is really very beautiful. We will book this hotel again next time!

Nice cosy room. Newly refurbished room, bathroom was cleaned and bad was comfortable. Nice lobby with some sort grand old fashioned decor staffs were very friendly and service were excellent. The swimming pool also nice.
