"Picturesque cabins with fully equipped kitchens. Cabin #1 has 2 bedrooms, a living room, kitchenette, and bathroom with shower. The smaller cabins do not have showers, requiring guests to use the shared bathroom. It's a shame that towels and sheets are not included in the daily rate!"

"There's a ski resort right across from us, but the slope and length look terrible. I don't understand why it's a tourist destination; they're so ignorant. The only ridiculous thing is that you have to pay 150 kronor a day to rent their sheets. Who brings their own sheets when they travel? There's a fairly spacious underground parking garage inside."

"Stayed July 2024 with family of 5 in a one bedroom apartment for one night while driving between the fjords and Oslo. There is a separate bedroom for parents, while the kids slept in the cozy bunk beds and they setup and additional bed for my 3rd child. The room was large, recently updated, had a well equipped kitchenette and we all slept well. It's an ideal room for a family. The balcony was huge and offered a nice view to the north of the ski hill. The hotel itself is stylish and has been recently updated while still preserving the character and history. It gives the feeling of being in an authentic Norwegian mountain hotel. There is no need for air conditioning even in July, since Geilo is about 750m above sea level and the nights are quite cool. Location would be good for skiing, though I would recommend a car as there appears not to be groceries within walking distance. Parking was ample and free of charge (nice surprise in Norway). The pool is really nice and my kids thoroughly enjoyed it. An added bonus is the laundry facilities on site that allow you to do your own laundry for a small fee. Laundromats are very few and far between in Norway. We didn't eat breakfast here, but instead picked up some things from Circle K. I would absolutely stay here again, and I highly recommend especially for families."

"We rented a cabin for a short stay during the 17th of May national holiday. We took with us our own bedding instead of renting. The cabin was average in size for a small kitchen, 2 bedrooms and living room, but had vaulted ceilings which made it feel more spacious. It was clean as well. It was en easy walk to the stores, movie theaters, etc. The walls were a bit thin, but our neighbors were pretty quiet. However, you could hear them talk if they used a normal to loud voice. Price was very competitive for the area. Would stay here again - recommended."
