Hotel next to the train station and Malioboro shopping street. Currency exchange office 50 meters from the hotel with very good exchange rates.
We asked for a quiet room to avoid possible train noise and the hotel very kindly assigned it to us.

Our flight was delayed and we had to check in late, but it was right in front of the station so we didn't have any trouble finding food at night. If you're on a lower floor, you might be bothered by the noise outside, but we stayed on the 8th floor and it didn't bother us at all. We stayed for two nights and were very satisfied with both the price and the location.
