Hotels Near Bagno Massimo in Gatteo a Mare

We had just stayed at the hotel's 4☆ sister hotel Miramonti in Bango Di Romango and were so impressed with the service and food. It was an accident to book Grand Hotel Da Vinci. We were hoping for great things and the hotel lobby and enterence were lovely. We arrived at the impressive gates to the hotel to be told we had to go down a side street to what looked like a piece of waste land. OK, not a big issue. You then have to walk round the back of the hotel, where the staff were all smoking and shouting, where the workmen and bins were. And walk round a tented part of the hotel held together with wood. Not a great first impression. The reception staff were friendly but more proficient than affording personal service, so different to the Miramonti. We were told the restaurant was open for dinner from 19:30-21:00. Later we went back to the reception to book a table for dinner to be told, the restaurant was closed for a private party and we could eat in the room or lobby bar. The lobby bar had no character and literally is just part of the lobby. What 5 ☆ doesn't have another restaurant or the facility to put another room together for guests to dine in?? We were not amused. The room was spacious but a bit well!! Italian OTT. The view was over a roof top. There was 1 welcome cake for two people. No complimentary water nor tea or coffee facilities. Again not really 5 ☆ The terrace and outside pool was wonderful. Really gorgeous and well set out. Must be wonderful in summer. After the wonderful spa at the Miramonti and the thermal spa, we were so looking forward to the pool and spa as it looked stunning in the picture, from a distance it looked nice but it really need attention. Total lack of maintenance and care. See photos. At breakfast, it was 'adequate ', but as there were only a few guests there, it was a good opportunity for the staff service to shine, but we had to ask twice for a person to cook the omelettes, when the waiting staff entered the kitchen their was loud shouting, laughing etc as if there were no guests present. Very bad impression. What makes a hotel 5☆ is not the size of rooms, not the building or stunning external pool it is; the total attention to detail and to the customer experience and this hotel doesn't have that. It has the appearance of a 5☆ but for Northern Europeans, used to attentive and responsive service and an attention to detail, it is more a 3.5☆.

My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel at our wedding anniversary. The structure is very beautiful, modern, I appreciated the room, cleaning and the availability of staff, not to mention the seafront position. On the site, however, it is stated that they have this Panoramic Terrace front of the Sea where they serve typical and aperitive tastes in summer. I would have liked to enjoy this service to begin the celebrations well, but on our request they told us that it was not possible without giving reason. Since it was July 13, so the summer season, I don't understand why. Thank you for a great holiday! We spent 5 nights! We were very afraid of how it would be, because many hotels in Rimini are outdated, but this hotel pleasantly surprised us! The room was clean, new, the bathroom was Perfect! Every day smells good both in the corridors and in the room. Had a room with a sea view! very beautiful lobby. Daily cleaning and towel change! The breakfast was good, but it should be varied a bit, the same thing every day. :) A large pool and jacuzzi with warm water are open during the season. Green territory with a playground for kids! A bar with a variety of drinks at an adequate price is available! first line to the sea, good location. :)

This hotel is perfectly located between city centre and the beach. It’s also easy access to train station (10min walk) and bus 9 (airport). The bedroom was fine and bathroom was roomy and shower was good. Air con was pleasant. I didn’t try breakfast or restaurant. The safe had no keys but we eventually found them. My two quibbles: no one answered any of my emails so I had to call to double check they weren’t shut due to COVID 19 or something ; (annoying!) the cleaning starts at 7am, and frankly, the maid is the noisiest person ever. Imagine a hoover on the room next to you at 7am when you went to bed at 2am! The walls are paper thin and you hear the neighbours, which is not great, but cleaning staff can be scheduled for a more godly hour. I had the worst 3 mornings ever, up hours before I intended to be. As many travellers complained and clearly the hotel doesn’t care, I am giving only 3 stars.

The location is not as close to the train station, but the hotel is still good, in the villa group, very feeling. Facilities are also ok, as well as free breakfast, the price is still relatively high in Europe's high level of consumption.

Lack of sunshine around the pool We stayed (3xAdult, 1xTeen) for four nights whilst attending a sporting event nearby. On entering the hotel, it looked pleasant. On entering our room however, we got old damp kind of smell. The fridge did not function and we reported it on several occasions and it was never fixed. We did have an issue with the plug in the bathroom sink, which they rectified by removing the plug entirely. Housekeeping staff did a great job in the limited conditions. The room is very narrow, there is luggage table behind the door, meaning you cannot open it fully, and the bathroom is old, dated, and prone to leeks. However, shower pressure is good. We were told halfway through our stay the hotel is under new management. This is bringing a full refurbishment over the coming months and so explains why we were awoken before 8am one morning to the sound of hammering and banging. Would we stay again, probably not. There are so many alternatives in the area with similarly great locations, but with better facilities, for similar prices.

The B&B Hotel is in a residential area of Ravenna, 5 minutes to the centre of the city by bus or a 30 minute walk. There is a large free car park. Our room was clean and comfortable with a small bathroom, all modern and functional. The compact buffet breakfast area was well organised with a reasonable supply of cereals, cold meat, cheese etc. and self-serve tea and coffee from a machine. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Beer and soft drinks were available from a vending machine. Several family restaurants and cafes were within walking distance.
