This Courtyard hotel does not live up to its name and the facilities are relatively basic. The order included breakfast, but after finishing the meal, I was told by the hotel that there would be a charge. Ctrip will resolve the issue in a timely manner after receiving the feedback. We hope that similar situations will not happen again!

Nice hotel and in a great location. You can walk to just about anything or take the free trolley around town. Parking is included which saved us $20.00 a day. Don’t forget to sample the moonshine at several different locations. Also, there are many different restaurants within walking distance of this hotel

We’ve stayed in numerous courtyards and had so many troubles in this one. Our mini fridge in our room was leaking brown fluid and not working. The staff was very friendly and quickly brought us a new one, however we still had trouble with our food staying cool. Our bedding, unfortunately, had some stains from previous sleepers and the lobby smelled like smoke. I wish I had gotten a picture of our room’s windows, but the tinting may have been messed up or something because the windows were constantly blurry. Parking is free for guests and the location is great. We loved walking to and from downtown Gatlinburg from our room.

Remodel was in progress during our March 2024 stay. I don’t know if that was relevant to the blaring smoke alarm at 8am on a Monday morning but that was a very rude awakening and rough start to our trip. Pros: Nice friendly staff. Room and bathroom were very clean. Location and parking were perfect. It was worth the negatives to be this close to downtown (quick walk). Pancake restaurant next door was a plus. The pool and hot tub looked nice although we didn’t use them. Cons: Did Courtyard invent a new bed size? That felt like the smallest King bed ever. Another review mentioned this too. Very odd bed situation. Pillows were awful. 4 of 6 window panes were permanently fogged so the view that should have been amazing was 2/3 diminished. The Bistro, although staffed with helpful and friendly employees was depressing and empty. The cold food in the Bistro frig looked old and sad (yogurt parfait had separated and pooled substantial liquid in the bottom for example.). The seats were all cracked and badly worn. I was extremely hesitant to order food but the coffee ($3.50 for plain coffee) was tasty enough as it was the only option other than making your own with tap water in the room via the provided single-serve pot. Fairfield’s lobby coffee station was sorely missed during this Courtyard stay! The things that can and hopefully will be addressed during Courtyard’s remodel will allow for us to give this hotel another chance one day perhaps.

Nice location and very nice staff. Kingsize beds are not the size you have at home. Pillows are cheap and no matter how many you have, cannot get comfortable in bed. Room 101 should not be rented as doors slamming all night long doesn't make it any easier to sleep. Only plus are very friendly staff and location. Rooms are small and uncomfortable. No exhaust fan in bathrooms. Very noisy from parking lot and outside doors.

I have stayed at Courtyards a few times. I am always left wondering why this concept was developed. Most features are the same as a Fairfield yet breakfast is not included and points redemption is higher. The pluses for this property are no fee parking and the lobby food for purchase items. As an elite you will have option of $10 per person voucher for each day. That netted us $60 for the entire stay but you can only use $20 each day. $20 will not go far so the value is in getting some healthy options quick in a town notorious for breakfast restaurant lines and generally bad food options. The cons included a waste of suite night awards as the upgrade was a whirlpool tub taking up a large section of the sleeping area. Weird! Housekeeping has to be requested the night before or early in the morning. Charge me less if I have to beg to have my trash emptied. Overall, a good location and good stay.

First the pros: Beautiful hotel and fairly close to downtown within walking distance for a moderately healthy person. Here was our problem. The bed was probably the most uncomfortable I've slept on. The pillows were marshmallows, as soon as your head hit it it shrunk down to nothing. Like sleeping without a pillow. It was so bad that the first night it injured my neck and I had to sleep on the couch sitting upright due to the headaches this bed/pillows gave me. Then every morning at the same time Trash trucks came and emptied the trash bins from the restaurant next to the hotel which woke us up. Every morning housekeeping at the same time each morning banged into walls and slammed doors. When I was asked how my stay was I explained all this to the front desk and was met with a shrug of the shoulders and " Sorry to hear that". I say this often...For a business that's soul purpose is to provide a place to sleep to purchase matresses that are rock hard and uncomfortable and pillows that serve any purpose doesn't seem like a wise business plan. This hotel isn't the only one. We travel a lot in the summer and it's widespread.

We just returned from a trip to Gatlinburg, TN this past week, October 22-26, 2023, staying at the Courtyard. I have stayed at several Courtyards, and had high expectations, but was very disappointed in this one. From the time we checked in to the time we left, I never felt welcomed. The front desk staff was always preoccupied or stepped away from the desk, most often to smoke outside by the front door. On our last morning there, I was told that I had already checked out! I had done nothing and most definitely had not checked out. The staff was rude and very unapologetic as to admitting that they had made an error. And this hotel was the very first out of all the hotels that I have stayed at, both Marriott and every other brand, that did not offer its guests free coffee in the lobby. There was a "Starbucks" in the hotel, and to get a coffee, you must pay. I had purchased the breakfast package, and was still told that there was no free refills for coffee. We did order breakfast one morning and it was awful!! The eggs were overcooked and the bacon was terrible!! I would have preferred to have an actual Starbucks breakfast! Even though I had a paid breakfast, we chose to eat elsewhere!!! The only thing that I can say positive about the hotel is that is is next door to a great Pancake Restaurant! For the amount of money that I spent for 4 days at this hotel, I cannot recommend it. Look elsewhere!!
