This was our first day at Marshalls. The place is so cute and it was clean and in a great location 5-minute walk to the Village. We were lucky we got to see bears walk through raccoons. The only thing I recommend is maybe changing the mattresses mattresses in most hotels are too firm and it's not great for a good night's rest, but I would definitely stay here again. This time I will bring a mattress topper or an extra comforter. Not saying mattresses are bad. They're just too hard for me. Younger people probably wouldn't have an issue but someone being in their late '50s could be a problem. The owners are nice and if you're staying for longer than 4 or 5 days I would bring a few extra hangers. There really isn't any space for clothes but you can hang up clothes. The rooms are small but so super cute. I recommend room 17 the next time we go. We are staying in room 9 because I like the looks of that one as well. This will be our go-to place just because of the cost and how cute it is.

Very outdated motel. Old mattress that had an unpleasant order. Spotted bedspread. The couch dipped toward the middle on both sides that was also soiled. Window aircondioner filthy plus it didn't cool the small room adequately. The motel looked very nice on the outside, but the inside was a nightmare.

An excellent location in Gatlinburg. The motel is just around the corner from the shops at the Village and from Anakeesta's lift (for those late night trips to Astra Lumina), so it couldn't be more perfect. The room was very clean and has all the necessities (for bells and whistles, you'll need to go elsewhere). The woman who runs the place with her family was very welcoming. The room has a fridge and microwave along with a small table and collapsing chairs stowed in a closet if you want to eat there. The room is paneled in wood giving it a cabin look. Cute.

This is an older motel, but a very nice place to stay! Extremely close to downtown, about a five minute walk. Room was clean, but a little small. Room had coffee pot and refrigerator. Enjoyed relaxing in the rockers by the creek. Will stay here again!

A very pleasant stay for 3 nights. Reminded me so much of days gone by when I was a kid traveling with my parents in the 70's every summer for two weeks. We stayed at these "Mom and Pop" places that actually had a real key (like this one!) to enter the room. In agreement with most reviewers, the room was very clean. And, the room was restocked with fresh towels and coffee every morning. We did not spend a lot of time in the room as we were usually out for most of the day hiking the Smokies and exploring. What we liked: the nostalgia, cleanliness, bed and pillow comfort, genorously-sized mini fridge/freezer, microwave, free parking directly in front of the room (hard-to-find parking in and around Gatlinburg is $10-$15), nice pool, friendly "all-in-the-family" owners/staff and exceptionally easy, three-minute walk to the main drag and the Village (where I would grab a couple donuts and coffees early every morning from the Donut Friar.) What we found "interesting": the shower as the shower head only reached 5'5" high (don't know if that's the height placement in all the rooms, but that's what it was for room #2). For an exceptionally tall person like my husband, he needed to use the handheld showerhead. Not a deal breaker by any means. We've just never seen a showerhead placed so low in a shower. Obviously a reason for this when the motel was renovated, but just...interesting. A hot tub by the pool would've been nice to sit in after a long day hiking and finally the cute bear bedside lamp had some functionality issues. Yes, we definitely would stay here again--in a heartbeat. It appeared that most guests were older couples (like us!)

Fantastic stay. Short walk to the parkway of Gatlinburg. Clean rooms. Friendly staff. Fun rustic vibe. Will be staying there when we go back. Love the little details of the bear decor. Bed was comfortable. Sheets clean and comfortable. Lovely swings and rocking chairs outside. Love the creek

We had a horrible experience. The room was not clean. The people were not honest and they gave false information, said the owner was not available. We did not stay in room and chose to go somewhere else. The room had a stale smell and incense smell. Do not stay here not a good place. The people acted very rude at the front desk. Also they feed the bears and someone is going to get hurt. Be aware!!

Quaint and clean. Even though it’s just a few blocks away from all the people and activity it is very quiet. You can easily walk to all the shops up and down the main street . Just up the road from The Village shopping area. Staff is friendly, helpful and nice. It’s like an oasis in the middle of Gatlinburg. This is our go to place in the Smokies.

Charming and clean. Service is excellent. Great value! The location is excellent. Within walking distance of the Village and on a by-pass road to avoid the traffic of downtown. Best kept secret in the Smokies!
