Descent for the price, overall very clean.

Easy to travel to and easy to find. You get what you pay for. Very basic but comfortable stay

Went up for the nufc match last night ( 1st Oct ) price was £53 with breakfast so didn't expect the Hilton hotel. Travelled from Leeds and getting to it is easy. Car park for about 15 cars but also some space around the back for the cost of £3 per 24 hours. You need to register your car as soon as you arrive on the pad at reception or if you forget you will get a £100 parking ticket. Reception is a small area as soon as you enter that's when you know how dated the place is. Rooms are with a shared bathroom but there are some ensuite ones, which is what I booked. The rooms are dated but clean. The mattress needed throwing away you could feel the springs. They come with a kettle and tea and coffee. The shower was ok took some time to get it to the correct heat. Staff are friendly and breakfast was great. Full English also cereal. Like I said it cost me £53. The rest around Newcastle were charging £120+. So for just sleeping for a few hours it was worth it. Would I go back possibly alone but not with the partner.

I booked a one family bedroom for 1 night; the room had a very smelly odor as soon as I opened the door probably coming from the dirty carpet as it looked quite old. The Wi-Fi was too bad that we couldn’t connect to it so we had to use our personal mobile data. We had one pillow each which wasn’t enough. Also their was no AC in the rooms

Booked this for 2 nights as it was in walking distance of a wedding we were attending. Bit concerned about previous reviews. Yes it’s a little run down from the outside. It appeared to be have been painted recently inside. Check in was easy. Was shown were the dining room was for breakfast. Room was clean and tidy. We opted for en-suite. Shower was ok once you got the setting right. Breakfast was good, full English cooked fresh while you helped yourself to tea/coffee juice etc. didn’t need anything to eat again until well into the afternoon. For the price we paid we thought it was well worth it. It’s not the Hilton or their price. Would we stay again, definitely if in the area .

Don't know where to start, fortunately we were only staying for one night. The bed had a lump in it making it a really uncomfortable night. The shower in my caravan has more power, the shower curtain was plastic and ripped and when I tried to pull it round the rail came out of the wall. The towel rail fell down when I put my towel on it. There was no plug in the sink and no shelf to put my toiletries on. There had been attempts to paint the room but nothing was done to an adequate standard, never mind a good standard. Decided not to take a chance on the breakfast. Can't understand where the good reviews have come from!

Where do I start - pests in the room, windows broken, radiators not working, no mobile heaters, shower leaking, no hot water, filthy flimsy w/c and sink in the bathroom, extremely rude & ignorant staff, was served mouldy bread in breakfast, breakfast lady is extremely rude and discriminatory in nature - makes her own rules on set breakfast!! So on the name of hot vegetarian breakfast you will be served 1 mouldy toast, cold watery beans spilling in the plate (a ladle at max) a single very oily hash brown (can get 2 if you are English or European, no chance for Asians) & 2 eggs. Breakfast served between 7 and 9 pm strictly, don’t even ask for a takeaway!!! As they have no arrangements for it and are too worried about getting dishes back from the room. Absolutely stingy disgusting behaviour!! Not just from one staff member but all including the manager, Raj. Like another lady says in her review - no response or attempt to resolve complaints from the management. If anything the staff at reception will try to shut you up and somehow get rid of you. This place should be shut down permanently!! They are renting rooms which clearly have health & safety issues and take no responsibility later. Please DO NOT book this hotel!!!

Stay away from this place, yes you may get what you pay for, but what they fail to tell you (which personally I think should be in big letters on their page) is that the local Council use this hotel to house drug ******* and alcoholics, our room was right by where they congrigated which at 2am I can tell you is no joke, if I'd had known about this before booking I would never have booked to stay here, not impressed at all and we will be making an official complaint.
