I stayed in Saxon Lodge for three days (two nights) during my visit to Gansbaai City for the Shark Cage Diving. The most important fact that I would state about Saxon Lodge, that the moment you step a foot in and you are “home”. Caron and Dave have a talent to make you feel welcome; suddenly you are talking to Dave like an old friend, and were just catching up with what you guys have missed. You might want to hear about service; all what I can say, that everything you should expect in a lodge is there and more; rapped with outstanding and friendly environment.

What a wonderful place to stay while in Gansbaai. The managers were extremely friendly and very welcoming. They made sure every little detail was taken care of, without having to be asked. The Saxon Lodge has very nice rooms, comfortable beds, spectacular views, and feels like home. I would definitely recommend this to anyone traveling the area and I'll certainly be sure to stay here again if I wind up back in Gansbaai.

Caron and Dave were the best hosts ever! They were extremely hospitable and welcoming, and cooked the most amazing scrumptious food we've had in our 3 weeks stay😋 The rooms were also lovely, big and clean, and the location was superb overlooking the coast.

Lovely place. Delicious food. Lulu was the best! Beautiful view. Great people. Stayed in the dolphin cottage and it was very spacious and great for personal space. Lounge was great for a movie night and bar area was perfect for playing cards🤍

Wir waren für 2 Tage im Mai in der Saxon Lodge. Die Besitzer waren super freundlich und unterstützten uns auch, als wir einen Arztbesuch organisieren mussten. Es wurden uns Restaurants für den Abend empfohlen und auch grad direkt vom Besitzer für uns reserviert. Unser Zimmer hatte eine Terasse mit Blick über das Meer. Alles war sauber und die Angestellten sehr freundlich. Wir können die Lodge wärmstens empfehlen.

Welcoming and in the heart of Gansbaai. Overlooking the harbor, with best views. Can't imagine a better location if you want to visit Gansbaai. With the stunning views you get an established environment, clean and well maintained. Owners and staff are absolutely guest orientated and friendly. Breakfast 10/10. Will gladly return. The lodge puppy and cat are gorgeous!

Even weg uit Kaapstad. We wilde naar Gansbaai en vonden deze geweldige lodge. Mooi uitzicht over een baai. Heerlijk rustig om te ontsnappen uit de dagelijkse hectiek. Erg vriendelijk ontvangen. Zeer ruime kamers. En het zwembad voldoet prima om even af te koelen na een warme dag.
