I stayed at Uga Riva in the summer of 2024, and honestly, it’s the perfect spot to start or end your Sri Lankan journey. Just a quick 30-minute drive from Colombo’s International Airport, Uga Riva feels like a peaceful retreat that’s miles away from the hustle and bustle. From the moment I walked in, Asanga Fernando, the Villa Manager, greeted me with such warmth and simplicity—he really is the embodiment of kindness. The whole team is incredible, making you feel right at home with their friendly and genuine approach. The mansion is stunning from every angle. It's got that old-world charm with its beautiful verandas, arches, and serene courtyard, but also all the modern luxuries you’d expect. My favorite spot? Definitely the pool. There’s something magical about relaxing there with a fresh coconut king in hand—you really do forget about time. The vibe at Uga Riva is all about relaxation and tranquility, and you can feel it in every detail. It’s not just a place to stay; it’s a place to unwind and really soak in the moment. Whether you’re lounging by the pool or exploring the beautiful surroundings, it’s a true sanctuary that captures the essence of Sri Lankan hospitality. If you’re planning your trip, think about staying an extra night or two—you definitely won’t regret it!

A beautiful oasis! The most perfect place to stay, either at the beginning or end of your visit to Sri Lanka. Fabulous rooms, perfect pool, amazing cocktails and food. Great service. A particular mention to Lahiru who was an utter delight and a complete credit to the hotel. Thank you !!

Wonderful start to our short holiday at the amazing Uga Riva. The rooms are very spacious and well equipped with air conditioning. The pool area and sunbeds are incredibly relaxing just perfect for unwinding after arriving in Sri Lanka or before catching your flight. The food was amazing, and the hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully quiet. It’s well-kept, green, and has a lovely swimming pool. I highly recommend spending a few days here to start or end your journey, especially since it’s so close to Colombo Airport! The property manage, Asanga, and his team are warm and friendly, offering outstanding hospitality. Thanks to everyone; we will be back soon!!!

Wonderful start to our holiday. We arrived on Thursday and spent our first three nights at this exceptional hotel. The rooms are all spacious, well equipped with air conditioning. The pool and sunbeds are very relaxing and the perfect place to unwind. Food was outstanding, great choice with lots of variety for breakfast, lunch or dinner. We can't thank Asanga and his team enough for their warm and friendly stay. They've set the standard very high for the remainder of our holiday. Nothing is too much for the team and they are genuinely happy to help. We would highly recommend this hotel

What a great hotel. From the moment we arrived until we left we were extremely spoiled. The rooms are neat, super spacious, nice and clean. The staff are absolutely wonderful and do everything they can to make your stay fantastic. So sweet, caring and helpful. The hotel itself is beautiful and wonderfully quiet. Nice well-kept and green with a lovely swimming pool. The food is freshly made to your liking. It was a pleasure to stay here. The hotel and staff are a big 10! Thanks for everything!
