The staff were absolutely phenomenal and all so welcoming. Top rate service all the way. Food was ok for dinner and breakfast. The room was really spacious and clean. Only thing that was maybe a downside was the mattress was very old.

First, the staff: Receptionist Corinne was welcoming and professional, asking questions about an issue with the room and resolving it quickly, making dinner reservations which could only be phoned in, and greeting us whenever we walked through the lobby. Carol Ann in the restaurant went out of her way to make sure we were well served, and remembered us. Then, the facilities: The hotel makes a convenient base for exploring the area and has nice views. More renovation is needed, however, to upgrade this fine old building which has lived a lot of history. Investing is happening: the restaurant has been re-done, there were new curtains in our room. New mattresses and bed frames which don’t squeak are needed next, please. Restaurant offerings are fairly basic. Adequate, yes. “Bespoke,” no, regardless of corporate branding.

A solid hotel with clean but slightly dated rooms and nice atmosphere. The staff were excellent, including reception, but particularly the bar and restaurant staff. It was a no frills experience but very friendly and comfortable. Location is amazing.

After 2 long days in the road, all you want is a comfortable bed to lay your head? Then don’t book here! The mattress was paper thin, the bed base creaked every time you breathed. You can hear every little noise from the hallway, to the people in the next room and above. I have never seen so much brown furniture in my life! There was no actual radiator in the room so instead there are 2 oil filled radiators which did keep the room warm. The toilet seat doesn’t sit right, there was no toilet roll holder, large exposed piping isn’t very appealing to the eye. The ceiling needs some cosmetic work. The food was ok, but for somewhere as busy as this you would expect slightly better standards, fish and fries?!? The car park does get busy.

Stunning location for seaview and the gorgeous sunset. Accomodation was very good, with some fantastic being served. Staff were very friendly and polite. An ideal place for a base for the N C 500 also very quiet if you are looking to wind down after a hectic day

Lovely stay from start to finish, all staff were very friendly and welcoming. Beautiful location and views I recommend upgrading for the sea view room it was very spacious with great views. In the evening you can sit in the reception lounge with music or in the main bar which is huge. We mentioned we were heading over to Nairn next and received nothing but great recommendations of where to go there by Ronnie the very friendly bar man. There isn’t much to do in gairloch for the younger generation but the bar at the hotel is open till 11 so it’s great for a stop over on the way up north and amazing drive up there.
