We went there on 30 December 2023 after 19 years I expected to find what’s was then, but sadly this beautiful property is so mismanaged now and ruined ………………, there were no people like guest and the pool side bar/ restaurant waiters were placing for 1 hour garden furniture pillows only and shouting and laughing like they are at their own house, after placing the pillows on the chairs and sofas at 12h they just seated on the one of the sofa ( where guest are supposed to seat ) and started to chat and laughed so loud, it was unbearable! You feel uncontrollable to go and seat in the garden! I had to chaise a waitress as she was holding her glass and drinking and walking around the bar and trying to run away from me ( probably I had disturb her …) so finally I got to talk to her and ask if I could order pizza - her answer was that the chef will clean the the pizza oven and I can only order pizza at 6pm ………………… I have no words how happy these all employees are to work the way they work! 🤣 With no one supervising them and just gossiping, laughing and get salaries without actually doing any work they are hired for ……… Waw ………. whoever is managing this hotel now should be let go if the stakeholders wants to have any profit and any guests at all………… Feeling so sad for this beautiful property to be run down like it is now!! The gardens are closed from the back, you can’t go around like we used to, there are lot rubbish plastic bags and bottles in hotel garden - never ever seen something like that anywhere in hotel !! I wouldn’t come back again here for sure! Gaborone it’s also going down …… very sad! Nothing is like used to be 19 years ago……… and no New Year’s party was organized at the hotel like 19 years ago……… waw …… nothing! Sad vey sad……

No Room service. Female travelling alone, I really wanted to have dinner in my room. Front Desk tells you that they do not have room service, however room service menu with telephone number in the room. Room service number does not exist. First morning, I could not have coffee as there was only tea provided. I phoned the front desk and was told that I have to wait until 06h30 when someone arrives they will bring me coffee. This was delivered at 07h00. Housekeeping put the door latch on, so when you arrive back at your room in the afternoon your room is open with all your valueables, anyone couldv'e walked in. This is really a beautiful hotel, with a lot of potential. But management and attention to detail is lacking. Breakfast service is not existant, first day - public holiday was a disaster - could not get a decent cup of coffee as the machine was not working. Day 2, a bit better, more staff on duty. However, baked beans - you know that they took the previous day's left overs and added a new can to it, as the beans had different colours. Pretty sad, as this hotel has the possibility to be amazing.

Staff is extremely unhelpful and any request will just be answered with a no. Even after arranging a packed breakfast the day before it was not done on departure and nobody in the kitchen was willing to assist. The rooms are outdated and the bathroom feels old and dirty

Horrible service at both the poolside and indoor restaurant. We called ahead to make sure they were open but when we reached they said they poolside was closed and refused to seat our group indoors even though there was availability, simply because they did not want to join two tables. The whole restaurant was empty.

First trip to Botswana, I stayed at the Peermont Walmont at the Grand Palm. The hotel staff is very helpful and friendly. The accommodations are good, however there was no heating in the room I was staying in, which is a negative point, since the temperatures at night, in winter, are low.
