"Attracted by its 4.6 rating, and assuming it was a chain hotel based on the name, I was disappointed to find that the signboard didn't actually say "Home Inn." The best part was the signboard itself; there was no laundry room or restaurant, which speaks volumes about the quality. As a Ctrip Platinum member who has stayed in many chain hotels, I anticipated they would ask for a positive review on my WeChat on the first day, otherwise the hotel's rating wouldn't be so high. I booked two nights in Fushun, but after checking in, I didn't want to extend my stay for the second day. I was told that cancellations were not allowed during the May Day holiday, but because the conditions were so poor, I didn't want to stay any longer. All my requests were rejected. Ctrip's official customer service helped me communicate with the merchant, offering various solutions, including a penalty for cancellation, but all were refused. Isn't this non-cancellation clause an unfair contract term? I didn't book several days in advance to avoid disrupting their business; I booked the room on the day of check-in. Did the merchant set this rule because they knew the hotel's conditions were poor and were afraid customers would cancel their bookings? Secondly, the hotel facilities and environment were also very poor. The TV was an old Samsung model with the cable dragging on the floor. The table was made of transparent glass with stainless steel edges; I suspected it was salvaged from another bankrupt hotel. There was only one table and one chair to put things on, plus two beds. The hotel room had no advantages other than being spacious. The sheets had holes, and the duvet cover had bloodstains that hadn't been washed off. For such a large hotel, they didn't even provide facial tissues, and the toilet paper was only half the thickness of a normal roll of paper and of extremely poor quality. The only positive thing I'd give is to the short-haired female staff member; regardless of whether she was the one who refused to change my order, her service was very good. Finally, as a tourist who was won over by Fushun Mala Ban (a type of spicy mixed noodles), I just want to honestly express my feelings. Don't feel cheated like I did on the first day of your stay. Although the lobby was poorly decorated, the room doors looked quite upscale, which made me check in with a sense of luck. I advise businesses not to focus on getting good reviews by adding friends. If you have money, upgrade your facilities; if you don't, focus on honesty. Don't try to pass off inferior goods as genuine."

Tasty, reasonably-priced breakfast buffet staffed by friendly hostesses. Language barriers were overcome both here and at the front desk. Why pay a premium at the Friendship Hotel in Fushun when you can stay very comfortably for half of the price here !? About 15 minutes walk to the Long-distance Bus Station (no service to Shenyang!), 18 minutes walk to the North Wanda, and 25 minutes walk to the Riverside Park. I will stay here again!"
