We stayed in this hotel for a holiday in Madeira, attracted by its central and convenient location for visiting the city. However, we found some aspects that made the experience less pleasant. Our room overlooked the square side, and at night the noise of the buzz rose, amplified by the echo between the buildings. The room was really small and, at least on our side, very noisy. For those who visit Madeira for trekking and need to rest, a quiet room would certainly be preferable. Furthermore, the environment of the "Pico do Arieiro" room was particularly narrow, making it difficult to find the space to relax upon returning from excursions. In general, the welcome was good, as was the breakfast and the cleanliness, but the quality of the rest suffered greatly. I would recommend this structure only to those who do not have problems with noise or small spaces.
