If you are looking for a zen accommodation that is far and away from the hustle and bustle, one that exudes tranquility, has the perfect Mt Fuji view with no photobomb (no one to vie with you for the best view / photo spot) and is new, modern and basically impeccable a room, this is the right hotel for you. I have almost nothing but praises for this accommodation except perhaps its location. As it is allll the way up the hilly area and right on the opposite side of Lake Kawaguchiko’s main bustling area, you can really only rely on 1) their shuttle service which has pretty limited timings (last shuttle at 4.30pm) cos after all it’s mostly meant for shuttling guests on arrival only 2) taxi which is expensive ~ 10mins ride up for 3,000 yen 3) driving your own vehicle. Apart from its distant proximity to the station and all, it really is the best kind of accommodation where it’s almost like an attraction itself, the kind where you intentionally spend a night at the hotel just to get the full experience. Have a look at the photos and let the photos do the talking (sorry they are kinda blurry as I took screenshots off the room video instead). Service is excellent, and staff is really nice and helpful too albeit limited English-speaking staff. They have a Mandarin-speaking staff onsite which is really helpful. My friend and I opted for breakfast as well which is pretty good, but note that you will have to inform the receptionist on your preferred time slot (nothing like the buffet style / seating) at the end of the day (they would likely approach you to ask abt it though so no worries even if you had forgotten abt it). Note that the private hot spring bath in the room is simply natural hot spring water and not onsen; silly me thought it was onsen 🥲 anyhow, the bathtub was really clean too so plus points to the housekeeping. All in all, a really lovely, enjoyable and most definitely unforgettable stay at Kumonoue Fuji! Would I choose to stay here again on my next trip to Mt Fuji? Absolutely, in a heartbeat!

This is the second time staying in Fuji Ginkei, while the first time was in 2017. The reason I chose it when I went to Kawaguchiko the second time was the perfect location, service, and food when I stayed in 2017. First, I should thank the hotel staff. As you might know, it is tough for solo travelers to book a Ryokan room. As a search around the hotel list, which I think is perfect for the stay, Fuji Ginkei is one of a few hotels which said OK. I appreciate it. The location is perfect as you can see the lake and mountain simultaneously. For Kawaguchiko, only a few hotels have this kind of view. When you arrive at the Kawaguchiko station, don't forget to call them, and they will pick you up. However, when you live, if you want to take their shuttle bus, you need to check their shuttle bus schedule. I choose the Japanese-style room which a balcony since I want to take many photos from my room. It is worth it as the view from the room is perfect. I can stay in the room and watch Mount Fuji all afternoon. It even has an individual bathroom in the room, which is kind of rare. If you stay in the hotel in Winter, don't forget to use the outdoor onsen. It will be freezing to get in and out, but it is worth it as you will see a very clear sky and many stars when using the outdoor onsen. You will never forget it. Moreover, don't forget to go lakeside, which is only a few meters away. You can take perfect photos of the lake, Mount Fuji and the stars. It is impressive. Service is as good as before, which you can imagine. When you are having breakfast and dinner, the staff will talk with you, introducing the dish and telling you much exciting and helpful information. For once, I was discussing さかさふじ with them and really learned a lot. The dish is good. As I stayed for two nights, I think the first night's dinner was better than the second. For breakfast, I don't have too many things to say. Overall, the dish tasted good but not as impressive as in 2017, maybe because I tried some Michelin during these years, which increased my standard. Overall, it is an excellent hotel, and the price is not that high compared to other hotels around Kawaguchiko. Once again, is it worthy.

We stayed in the hotel for two nights and had already informed the receptionist when we checked in that two friends would come visit on the next day where they stayed in another hotel closer to FujiQ. When our friends came, one of their staff blocked our way and accusing us that we had more people staying than we booked in an unfriendly, rude and arrogant manner as if he was a cop and caught us did something bad. We explained to him in both English and Japanese translation that our friends were just here visiting. We showed him their other hotel booking confirmation but he said no guests were allowed to come visit in any hotel and this is their some Japan hotels authority’s rule! We asked him proof of such rules which of course there isn’t any. No proper apologies and poor attitude remains from that staff. Very bad experience with the staff here. Other than that, the hotel property and facilities were great.

I stayed in a room with a hot spring bath on the Mt. Fuji side of the East Building. Blessed with the weather, I took a long view of Mt. Fuji from the evening to the next morning and soaked in the hot springs many times. (Laughs) The quality of the Kawaguchiko Onsen at this hotel is a neutral calcium, sodium-sulphate, and chlorine-based disinfection is heated and circulated, including a large communal bath and a private room bath. It is not a source hanging, but it is well managed including the spring temperature. It warmed up well. It seems to be a room meal, but I stayed at 々 at the end of the year 12/29 night, probably because there were many guests, in the dining room on the 7th floor, dinner was a course kaiseki dish, breakfast was a buffet. The beef stew that I expected was also served on the course because the amount was small, but it felt like a taste. Each was carefully cooked in a small amount, and the quality and quantity were satisfactory. I stayed until 11:00 in the morning, and I took a bath 5 times in another 々 large communal bath once, 3 times in the room bath. In addition, the large communal bath has a waterfall and an open-air rock bath in the foreground, and a large cypress bath in the back. I think the impression will change depending on the way Mt. Fuji looks, but I was lucky 々. Since it is the year-end and New Year holidays, the high accommodation fee is natural, but it was a satisfying content for the room, meal, bath, service, and environment that matched it.

We checked into Kasuitei Oya for just one night, as we were visiting Kawaguchiko and Mount Fuji en route from Tokyo to Matsumoto. The hotel sent a collection shuttle bus to the train station and was there in a flash. The staff at this hotel were excellent - they were very attentive and happy to spend time suggesting local things to visit. The room itself was beautiful with a great outlook over the lake. We booked a Western style room, which still had the traditional tatami mat area for relaxing but also had a raised Western style bed, which we enjoyed. We really enjoyed the baths and considered booking the private bath for an hour. In the end we just used the standard baths and the outside one was really lovely. I watched the full moon rise from the bath overlooking the lake - magical moment. Although you don't get a Fuji view from the baths or the room in the hotel, there is a balcony up on the same floor as the baths where you can see Fuji. The location of the hotel is brilliant - you can easily walk to restaurants and everything else you need. We spent a nice evening at a very nearby Izakaya called Cooliya bar, recommended by the hotel and a great place for some tasty plates and a couple of drinks later in the evening. We had the traditional breakfast in the morning. There were a lot of dishes within the breakfast - beautifully presented but a little bit too much food for me in the morning, with some of the dishes a bit on the experimental side for us! Overall, a great stay and would recommend.

In spring, large peach blossom cut flowers are displayed at the entrance. In addition, raw orchid flowers are placed everywhere in the hall and are gorgeous. I've been there several times, but it was the first time I stayed at the West Building. From the Japanese-style room, I could see the cherry blossoms in full bloom. It is convenient because there are two keys to the room. The bath is in the main building, and at first I always go to the observation wine bath on the 7th floor. Personally, I like this wine bath the most than the wine bath in various places. First of all, it does not have a strong scent. In the wine bath, there are many inns that smell like grape juice in the dressing room and beyond, but this wine bath is not like that, and it is good hot water. According to the pamphlet of the inn, ”Authentic wine extract is given, and the good spring is still exquisite in Japan only wine bath.” Men can use the wine bath at night, but since the iron rule that they do not go to the bath after drinking is my home, I have never taken this wine bath. The next morning I went to the public bath on the first floor. I thought that hoto noodles would go well with ramen soup, and there were also cherry blossoms, Fujizakura pork wieners, Ashikawa Village konjac, Takekawa rice, etc. Local production was also used. I drank two cups while saying that the coffee was UCC instant, which was a little disappointing. After breakfast, I relaxed in the lobby lounge, watching the cherry blossoms and looking at the garden. These cherry blossoms are popular with customers. When you feed them, you will be surprised because a huge number of cherry blossoms come. This time, the most gorgeous cherry blossoms and peaches came when they were in full bloom, walked on the cherry blossom hot spring street, saw the cherry blossoms at night, and came to this inn on the hot spring street. We also recommend that you see the old photos of Ishiwa Onsen at the end of the lobby. A lot of pictures of the peaceful blue sky hot spring are on display at the hot spring that springs from the vineyard. When I checked out and got into the car and started running, the landlady who was being sent off to other customers dropped her hand and sent me off. I will go to stay again.

To be honest, the trouble increases, but it was better to sleep at the manga cafe in kamiahara about ５ minutes by car from here, and to take a bath at the national mother hot spring or Kusatsu hot spring (the public bath in Kofu city) in the morning. Certainly the radio waves are weak, but they were sufficient stability and speed for contact and search. And the problem peculiar to the universal room is the equipment side. Because it is assumed to be a assistance, it should be given up to some extent, but there is no table including the luggage stand, no closet, ballpoint pen and notebook, and it is usually equipped It was like an elementary school chair without a cushion, so it was painful to be honest. The best of the best, I really think it is one of the best hotels in Jiafu. The hotel service is very good, whether it is a few people traveling, I think it is very suitable, and the room is also very high-end and very clean. The hot spring is also very refreshing.
