Great place to go and relax. Very quiet and secluded with lots of deer and wildlife around. Views are great and stargazing is top notch! Lots of things to do within close driving distance. The cabins are very comfortable and have everything you need including great coffee and items to make a hearty breakfast. Highly recommend staying here!

Carl and Rhonda were the stars of the show. Their hospitality and attention to detail in the cabin made for an incredible and relaxing stay in The Hideaway cabin. The cabin was stocked with everything needed to make it feel like home. The view from our deck was spectacular! We could not believe how many deer showed up each afternoon and morning to eat the corn provided for us to feed them. At one point we counted 25. We had an amazing time and definitely plan to go back! Mike and Lori

Like another world .... with Texas Stars. Disconnect from devices and reconnect with nature, your family , yourself! The hosts have thought of every detail to make the stay seamless, delightful and peaceful. We only stayed 2 nights, yet we saw Armadillo, Bats, Chickens, Cows, Coyotes, a Grey Fox 🦊 oh my! Highly recommended getaway.

Absolutely loved our two night stay at the Siesta cabin during the 4th of July weekend. Wife and son and I had a great time meeting Carl and Rhonda. They are super kind people that help you out with anything at all. The cabin was very nice with stocked fridge of breakfast goodies and full kitchen supplies. A nice front and back patio and rooftop patio as well for great night sky views. Strong AC unit during the hot days was nice. Close to Bankersmith Saloon and Alamo Spring Cafe. This place is a nice getaway from traffic and city life. It's quite and peaceful. Animals onsite include cattle, deer, and chickens. My son loved it. WiFi is almost non-existent here unless your near or inside the home of Carl and Rhonda and you ask for the password. They allowed me to do exactly that when I needed to download some tickets.

The view from our cabin was amazing. Rhonda and Carl were very nice and helpful. We brought our two dogs and they were greeted with treats. Cabin was clean and cute. The breakfast with fresh eggs and fruit was delicious. Will definitely be returning.

Carl and Rhonda provide the perfect location to get off the grid! The cabins are cozy and well equipped. The mattresses comfortable and the fresh eggs and accompaniments for breakfast delicious! We were here during the eclipse and we loved enjoying pot luck dinners and making new friends!

The experience is outstanding in every way. Carl, our host, is a class act. We enjoy his friendship and hospitality in every way. The breakfast provisions are really really good. Sipping a glass of bubbly on the roof deck is special and a great memory. We look forward to traveling to the cabin in the future.

From start to finish, staying at Walnut Canyon Cabins is an extraordinary experience. Carl and Rhonda, the resident proprietors, are among the friendliest, informative and considerate hosts you are ever likely to meet. Absolute attention to every detail in the cabin: cleanliness of interior furnishings, spaces and windows; complete setup in the kitchen; bathroom with great shower; and wonderful queen size bed. The supplies for breakfast are from local sources and of high quality, a wonderful way to begin each day.

Everything was wonderful, breakfast makings were in the fridge. Close to Fredericksburg for shopping and restaurants. The beds were comfortable. We stayed in the Tree house which had an upper deck to sit out and watch the wildlife. They even provided deer corn to throw out for the deer to eat. When you check-in you will be offered refreshments. I will definitely go back.
