As a Hilton Honors Diamond member I enjoy staying at different properties within the company portfolio. A visit to Fredericksburg by train brought me to this HGI. It is situated in a commercial area, on a campus with 2 other Hilton-owned hotels (Homewood and Hampton). Dining options are close by, within a 10 minute walk. Check-in was done the day before arrival via the app, as was room selection. All I had to do was show up and go directly to my room. My room had plenty of space to spread out. Bathroom had ample counter space. No hot water issues. Wifi, TV, and climate control worked well. Sleep quality was good. No traffic noise from nearby highway. Did not partake of any meals onsite.

The general manager was very disrespectful. I am a lifetime diamond member with 1500 paid nights. I got booked through Priceline by mistake . When I asked for respectful diamond service the GM of the hotel said she would not recognize this or any and all diamond privleges at all. I knew all the policies about 3rd party bookings but the supervisor at the diamond desk told me it was 100% the decision of the GM and that most GMs would extend all privileges for a lifetime diamond member, but her attitude amazed me. She was abrasive and rude. It was a stain on the Hilton brand.

Stay started with small annoyances (fridge had been turned off, no cups in room, all but one ice machine not working), but when I sat down to finish work that was due by midnight, there was no wifi. Went to business center: no computer. Asked front desk, was told first to log in with my last name and room number. I explained that there was no connectivity. It wasn’t a login problem. Then he said yeah, it’s been a couple of days because of that strike thing. I said that’s not why your wifi isn’t working. He said it is. So I called the Diamond Desk, and they called him, and he told the Diamond Desk rep that the wifi was fine and working, and no one else had complained. At 10:30 at night their solution was to try to make me go to another hotel. I’ve been Hilton Diamond for over 15 years. I think 2024 will be the last.

This is not what i expect from a Hilton property. Very old, first room was musty smelling. Front desk was very accommodating and moved us to another room. Went out to visit family the next day and our room had not even been serviced. Had to call down for fresh towels.

I stayed here for a business trip. It is not bossiness friendly. The breakfast isn't free and there is no grab and go options. Even just grabbing a bagel at 6 a.m. takes time since the staff is busy and you have to pay for it. Also watch out for unexpected charges.

I stayed here on a business trip. I do not recommend this hotel. My wife came to visit me with our service dog. Heather the manager would not acknowledge my our dog as a service dog. Which my wife carries papers with her that our dog is registered as a service dog. I was charge several times for thing I never purchased. Then the last week I was there they charged me $690 which was incorrect. Which the company I worked for pays for everything. They say breakfast is from 6 am to 10am. I went down at 9:45am and was denied breakfast, when it should have been served until 10am. Some members of the front desk were polite. I do not recommend dealing with the manager. Watch your credit cards as she charges for unexplain charges and things she should not.

Terrible management staff. Attempted on several different occasions to withdraw insane charges(over 1k$) on credit accounts after stating clearly it was a one time incidental fee. Charged me twice for a pet fee after the first one was already paid for. Continued to charge my account after letting them know that my Job was paying for the entire trip No fault of the other employees but none are trained or have knowledge on how to reverse charges. Washing machines were broken refunds were not given if you used it and it broke while in use. Harassed every employee on our business trip on several different occasions. No kitchenette so lots of money spent on eating outside. Would not recommend if you’re staying longer than 2 days would highly recommend going else where. I personally would never use them again.

Hey there! I recently stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn and wanted to share my experience. Unfortunately, I had a few issues during my stay. Firstly, they randomly charged me $255 without any explanation, and it took quite a bit of effort to get that money refunded. Additionally, they provided ashtrays and smoking areas, but later I found out that guests couldn't actually smoke there. It was quite misleading. Another hassle was that I had to get multiple key cards because they kept deactivating. On the bright side, I must mention that the front desk staff, cleaning staff, and food staff were all super friendly! They definitely made my stay a bit more pleasant. It's always nice to encounter welcoming and helpful staff members. However, I have to be honest and say that the food was not up to par. I found it to be quite disappointing. To top it off, after I checked out, I noticed an unauthorized hold for $430 and another charge for $400. The assistant manager assured me it was a mistake and that the general manager, Heather, would resolve it. However, it's been four days and I still haven't been able to reach Heather or receive a call back even though she has been at the hotel almost evey day. Based on my experience, I would strongly advise against using debit/credit cards at this hotel unless you enjoy surprise charges. It's important to be aware of these issues before making a reservation.

The hotel management was rude and unaccommodating. I spent 4 weeks at this hotel, yet they made me feel like they were doing ME a favor by allowing me to stay here. I had the flu and they wouldn’t even let me use a bowl to warm up my soup. I was also charged multiple times for different fees that made no sense, when my organization negotiated a 1 time incidental fee
