Great location, barhroom very small and plumbing very old, shower temperaturen digficult to adjust, I nearly burnt my foot. Beds very comfortable, no elevator but the check-in clerkhelped us to carryup the bags. It is strange without elevator.

The so called room was nicely done with old style furniture and a small balcony. But it was more the sice of a closet that a real room. I travel a lot but the last time I had to stay in such a tiny room with such a small and saggy bed was 20 years ago in a small Australian hostel. There is no kettle and not even a glass available. The bathroom is tiny and the make up mirror only suitable for people not taller than 1.5 m (which at least fits to the rest). For everyone taller than 1.5 m I would recommend not to stay there.

閑静な住宅街にある古き良きドイツの宿。 朝食もいかにもドイツ風で、どこにでもあるようなチェーン・ホテルに泊まるよりは、旅情を掻き立てられるかもしれない。 ぼくもこの手のドイツのホテルは好きだ。 だが、このホテルは、日本式で言うと五階まであるのに、エレベーターがない。大きな荷物をもって五階や四階に行くのはたいへん。 それから、古いホテルだけに、いろいろガタが来ている。シャワーヘッドが不安定だったり、窓の立て付けがぎくしゃくしていたり。 もちろん、オートロックなどはない。内側からも鍵を締めなければならない。 また、部屋の掃除は要らないと言ったのに、掃除されていたり、交換してくれと言ったのに新しいタオルが無かったり… いくら古き良きドイツのホテルが好きなぼくでも、もう泊まりたくはない。

Das Hotel liegt in einer ruhigen Straße und zeigt mit seinem roten Mainsandstein, dass Frankfurt auch ältere Häuser hat. Vom Balkon aus sieht man hinter den Bäumen die hohen Bankgebäude, während der Balkon mit dem schnörkeligen Gitter eher französischen Charme hat. Tapete, Sessel und Vorhang waren ein meinem Zimmer in angenehmem Grün mit kleinen Mustern gehalten. Sehr hübsch, auch ein kleiner Schreibtisch, ein nettes Bad mit französischen Armaturen. Die Holztreppe hat keinen Teppich -- auch das wirkt sehr gediegen. Allerdings können dann Menschen, die nicht Treppen steigen können, hier nicht unterkommen. Das Frühstück wurde sehr liebevoll angerichtet mit verschiedenerlei Brot, zwei Marmeladen, einer Käseplatte und Wurstaufschnitt direkt zum Tisch gebracht. Alles sehr freundlich!
