We arrived and were greeted by such a helpful and friendly young man called David who guided us through what this fantastic hotel had to offer, and! between 5pm and 7pm they provided a wonderful free spread of olives, salads, meats etc and! 2 free drinks! How lovely is that?! We sat outside on the terrace over looking the river with our plates of food and drinks. What a wonderful start to our stay in Frankenmuth. 100% will recommend this hotel.

Wow, what a great hotel! Clean, and comfortable rooms. So glad we chose this hotel. The history of the hotel in the lobby, really made it special too, along with the low volume relaxing music in the main areas. Breakfast was good, and the free evening snacks and beverages were so nice to enjoy. The back of the hotel patio overlooks the lovely Cass river. Definitely would stay there again. Big thanks out to the staff for making our stay a good memory!

Loved this hotel! Loved its convenience to town, its location on the Cass River, its cocktail hour with beer, wine and snacks, and its welcoming staff. Rooms were good size and comfortable. Requested two rooms next to each other as we were traveling with my 97 year old mother and that’s exactly what they gave us. ,parking is under the hotel with elevator up… extremely convenient. Nice selection of hold and cold breakfast food with delicious coffee. Affordable accommodations without sacrificing anything important. Highly recommend!

Only stayed one night, but it was a great experience. The rooms are pretty standard, but clean and comfortable. What really sets this hotel apart is the ALL of the staff encountered were exceptionally friendly and helpful. It was so refreshing. We had river view rooms and it was nice to be able to open the door in the room to the balcony for fresh air (well aside from the horses downtown) and more light. Pros: Clean Evening reception Breakfast include - a lot of hot/cold choices, including organic options. Small balconies in rooms with chairs. Walk to downtown (parking onsite) Staff Porch in the back, plenty of seating to relax. Cons I did not love the pillows

Quaint, clean, friendly hotel with an old fashioned feel. Nice breakfast with waffles, breads, eggs, meat, sausage gravy, fruit and drinks. Can opt to eat on the patio. Evening hour offers local sausage, cheese, relishes, choice of wine, beer or soft drinks. Pleasant polka music playing in the lobby. We walked almost everywhere. Great coffee shop for lunch across the street.

I love the Marv Herzog hotel. It’s not too big or too small. The view of the river is very nice. They have a patio you can sit on and watch the boats go by while you eat your free snacks they provide from 5 to 7 each night. The hotel is not much to look at from the outside but the inside is very nice. It has a garage to park in so your car isn’t sitting in the sun all day. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. They also have free hot breakfast. The staff is very nice and friendly.

Very cute and quaint hotel. I was very happy with my selection of this hotel. It was very cute to come downstairs at any moment and hear polka music to get you in the mood for your amazing stay in Frankenmuth. the room was sparkling clean. The breakfast and happy hour were very delicious and well attended by the staff, who made every effort to keep things replenished and full. Everybody here very very friendly. My tiny little criticism would be there was quite a bit of road noise for the rooms facing forward. In a previous review, somebody said they would not recommend the riverside rooms in the winter but I disagree It would’ve been pretty to look at that as well. The front facing rooms were great for people watching just a little bit loud for traffic. Thanks Marv!

Our room was spotless and smelled fresh when we walked in! The front desk staff is delightful and helpful in every way. The breakfast was exceptional and the service was over-the-top. The gal who looked after us smiled constantly and made us feel at home.
