The hotel is opposite the station.theres a underpass leading to a park by the hotel free parking at the hotel. Disabled access and facilities in the hotel. Management and staff couldn't have been more helpful. We had a excellent 1st floor room with shower. Nice bar and lounge. Despite the amount off people the meals were excellent served by really helpful staff different menu each night each as good as the day before. Breakfast was as good both hot and cold choices. Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway. The sofa in the guest room is made of fabric. The disadvantage is that you can't see whether it has lice or whether it is clean. Anyway, it is so old that people don't want to sit on it at all. The carpet is lint-free, which means it's ”aged”. Well, let's talk about the public area: the restaurant's production is still quite standard, with Michelin standards, whether it's dinner or breakfast... It's pretty good, but the quality of the coffee is not good. The service staff are warm, courteous, serious and smiling. There are several casual living rooms and even dining rooms in the indoor public area, all of which are luxurious, comfortable, freehand, and comfortable, and there is nothing to fault. There are a large number of areas in the outdoor woods and paths that need to be improved, such as greening projects. One last thing to add: parking is free. After all, the owner, Mr. Chai, is a Chinese from Southeast Asia. The land of the ancient castle covers an area of 5,000 acres... If parking charges are required... it would be too stingy. In general...you can say that it is an ancient European style, but I personally think that the ancient European style does not necessarily need to update or refresh the facilities and furniture. Especially with such a large area, if the greening is not done well... it really responds to the old saying ”gold and jade are outside, and there is nothing in it”.

I really like this hotel. The view is amazing, and the reception is very friendly. They also have a restaurant and bar downstairs, which is really a saver for us after a long day of driving.

We booked a family room for 2 nights. Room wasn't ready when we checked in at 3pm. Room did not look like any of the website photos as it seems there are no photos of the family rooms on the website. The room was very basic - only 2 coat hangers for 6 beds. Double bed against wall is not a comfortable option as you have to climb over partner to get in and out of bed. No chairs or anywhere to sit. TV doesn't have signal and there's nowhere to sit and watch it from anyway. Very slow wi-fi, so almost impossible to cast to TV. The emergency exit light on the ceiling was taped up. The kettle is not big enough for more than 2 people at a time, and it doesn't fit into the tiny sink to fill. View of car park - not the mountain or forest view as advertised. All in all the room was adequate for our stay but hugely over priced for what it was. The Nevis Range Bar was disappointing too, mainly because they weren't serving the full menu but you aren't made aware of that when you book. The toilets in the main facility needed cleaning, no loo roll or soap. It seemed that they had't been attended to the whole weekend we were there.

We were looking for accommodation in the Lochaber area as a base for a kayaking weekend, and Corran bunkhouse fit the bill perfectly. Everything is good quality, and the rooms are clean and functional - ours had a nice ensuite too. There is a large common room with comfy seating and a log burner which was a nice place to relax, but we usually ended up sitting in the communal dining kitchen. The kitchen had everything you could need to make from snacks to big meals, and there was plenty of food storage and fridge space. Plenty of space to sit and eat too. A really big plus was the two drying rooms, one off the kitchen which had a dehumidifier, and another outside, which allowed lots of wet gear to be dried quickly - a real bonus if you're there for a few days. The owner Alan couldn't be more helpful, and gave us tips on the best places to eat wherever we were going. I can thoroughly recommend getting the ferry over to Ardgour to the pub for food. A minute from the bunkhouse, its free for foot passengers, the crossing takes about 5 minutes, and is a nice way to go to dinner. Overall i cant recommend the place highly enough. A modern, clean and enjoyable place to spend a night or two.

Really great Hotel. Cheapest around as well so don’t really get when people book cheap hotels and complain that it’s not 5* 😂. Location is amazing. The Loch is beautiful. Staff are really nice. Rooms have everything you need and are quite spacious. Food is really good although a wee bit expensive but still good sized portions.

What more can I say about this place that hasn’t been said already? Without a doubt, it is one of the best hotel experiences you can ever have. This was my second visit to Glencoe House and it was just as special as the first – and what a high bar to maintain. We stayed in Suite 1 and the antique décor is beautiful with plush sofas and stylings. You instantly feel relaxed and at home when you enter. Somehow it has an inherent cosy feeling mixed in with the finery. The room has luxuries such as a wine selection, full bar, and an amazing hot tub out the back. There is nothing – and I mean nothing – like sitting in the hot tub on a sunny day, taking in the gorgeous vista of the rugged highlands and Loch Leven. The food is also sublime, and dining is a very unique experience in the hotel. Breakfast and dinner are provided as in-room dining, so the amazing staff bring Michelin star quality food to your own personal dining table in your suite, which also happens to have an amazing view of the bay. Yes, the experience is as good as that sounds. The cooking staff are also so accommodating for gluten and dairy allergies, and were able to make special meal requests for my partner who is intolerant to both. And the bespoke dishes were lovely. If I had to try and name what is so special about Glencoe House compared to other hotels (because you only need to read all the reviews to see that it definitely is special), I think it’s that the experience feels more like a chilled-out luxury retreat than a hotel stay. Everything is brought to you, everything is done for you, everything is available to you in your room, everything is comfort. All you have to do is eat, drink, relax in the hot tub, go for stunning walks in the grounds, and enjoy the tranquillity. Trust me, within minutes of entering your hotel room, you’ll find your inner zen. I’ve never felt so relaxed so quickly in any stay I’ve had anywhere. So, if a chilled-out luxury experience of the highest quality is what you want … this is the place for you. No discussion.

In fact, Glencoe Canyon does not have a fixed attraction. After coming from Lomond Lake and entering the mountains, every viewpoint is an attraction. There are two visit centers along the way, and the scenery is not as good as the view point. However, the most beautiful attraction in Glencoe Canyon is actually in this hotel. The hotel is located on the peninsula in the lake, the peninsula is more than 10 meters above the lake surface, the mountains and rivers, large areas of bluebells, the hotel hidden in the landscape, a picture of a paradise. Walk around the peninsula, take pictures, and watch the sunset, which is very enjoyable. Free parking lot, the room size is too big, the facilities inside are good, clean and sanitary. Warm service and good breakfast. Two-story building without elevator.

We stayed in one of the older waterfront lodges. The scenery was absolutely stunning and to be able to sit in the hot tub on the balcony was amazing and made our whole experience. The lodge however left a lot to be desired for the ‘luxury’ labelling and price tag. The interior was basic at best and was in dire need of some love and a refresh. What really spoiled our stay however were the rock hard beds and pillows. We really struggled to sleep and have never been as uncomfortable and in pain in the morning. We even tried sleeping on top of the duvet to no avail. Such a shame for such an incredibly beautiful setting. The restaurant food was very good but again the interior could really use some love and upgrade. Staff were helpful and attentive however.

Perfect
What a treat to stay here. We have been on the road staying in all different kinds of accommodation since 21 August and, honestly, this was a stand-out experience! Larisa and Mark made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Beautiful touches everywhere - fresh milk in rooms (small pleasure), quality toiletries and linen. The very best breakfast we have had - homemade sourdough, muesli, granola, jams alongside delicious hot dishes. We complimented Mark before realising they have won awards for their breakfast. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
GGuest UserAn absolute nightmare. We stayed in Fort William at Westcourt B&B for four nights. On day one we had the honeymoon suite, with jacuzzi. We wanted to enjoy the bath, but while we were in there, Charles knocked on our door several times (even though you can clearly hear that the jacuzzi is in use from the corridor, as we'd been told not to use it after 22pm). Eventually it turned out he wanted to introduce himself and try to sell us the room for more nights (because we had a cheaper room for the following days). Guest privacy was definitely not a thing. Since we had been hiking and camping for a week beforehand, in the rain, all our stuff was wet. When we asked if they had laundry facilities they referred us to laundromats for which we'd have to take a taxi to reach. We just wanted to dry things, so we spread our stuff over the room. When we came back in the evening, Charles met us in the hallway, as if he was waiting for us (which he did several times in a way which at least I found very creepy), to tell us that this was ”unacceptable” and we ”should be thrown out”. When we discussed a bit and said that we did not cause any damage to the room whatsoever, the stuff is just wet, not dirty, nor did we bother any other guests in the slightest, he went to make a completely inappropriate remark about our lifestyles saying ”I don't understand how you can live like this”, and that they couldn't perform any room service like this (although they had taken down all the things that were drying). When we tried to say that we don't need our room cleaned while we stay there, they said that it wasn't an option, it's included in the service, so asking for privacy is again not ok. The next day, when there had been room service, returned to our room to find our personal stuff that we like to keep on the nightstand, was moved into cupboards in the bathroom, so we had to look through the whole place to find them. If this all doesn't sound bad enough yet, we had a bit of drama also regarding payment, where Charles got agitated saying that there's no point to a bank card if you can't use it. This is because he already had my husband's card details (through ***********) and tried to just take money for the extra night in the honeymoon suite (this night was agreed on later, so not through ***********). Luckily my husband's bank has a safety mechanism which requires him to give the pincode if there's a new payment, but Charles could not offer a method for us to use the pincode, nor could he send a safe payment link. Eventually cash (without receipt) was the only option, because he also wasn't able to give his own IBAN number. So all in all, we felt extremely uncomfortable during our stay at Westcourt, and spent as little time in the B&B as possible, trying to avoid the hosts every time we went in and out. The breakfast was also not worth it at all, and not fresh (the same things lay there day after day), and also served only between 7:30 and 8:45, which can be extreme
AAnonymous UserWhen I got to the hotel, I was asked to pay a little bit more than what was advised by trip.com, but every penny was worth it!
Location is great, staff are very friendly and welcoming, the room was absolutely fantastic, and the full Scottish breakfast was generous and tasty. The only disappointment was I couldn't get a bath because the bathtub obturating plug didn't work properly. However, the overall experience was good. Thank you!
GGuest UserIt is a very old hotel, the hotel should be refurbished, just fine. However, there is no elevator, which is a bit inconvenient. The hotel is very tasteful. I feel that I can take a good look at the stairs. The windows all have a little history, but they are still clean. The toilet is very light, it is not bad. Because I saw the evaluation before going to the general, I felt that it was worth it. The restaurant is very good, the price is OK, the sirlion steak is super delicious, staying in the UK for so long, is the best sirloin I have ever eaten, I ordered the medium rare, superb, the chef is very good. Hey, I also saw the black cat in the hotel, very cute. It feels like a good experience, and the breakfast buffet is also excellent.
GGuest UserWe stayed at the Factors Inn for 5 nights, we used it as a base for travelling, from there we visited Oban, Malaig and Skye, overall we were quite happy with our stay, we had a superior room with a lovely big comfortable bed, tea coffee making facilities a sofa, coffee table and not a bad sized TV it was dog friendly this is great for us and our dog, you can catch a bus just outside on the main road into Fort William or use the local A&A reliable taxi service that we used a couple of times, the only negatives I can think of are the the Bathroom was quite dated, but having said that it didn’t affect our stay, and at check in we were asked if we would like to book breakfast at the Castle but they do NOT allow dogs in the Castle so we declined, had a delicious breakfast and evening meals just within 10/15 min walk along the cycle/walk path just across the road from Factors to the Golf club/Caddy Shack restaurant & Bar thats ran by a lovely couple that can’t do enough for you. Overall our stay was a nice one and we would go back and stay there.
谢谢Beautiful environment, great scenery, excellent value for money, good staff service, well-equipped rooms, great location, pets can stay, next time you will choose to stay.
YYiu Wai RaymondThe location is remote but the environment of this location is quiet. Therefore, it is still valuable to live at the place.
We have taken the dinner at the centre. All the foods were delicious and excellent and the price was quite reasonable.
I will select this accommodation if we go to highland again.
LLIPINGThe hotel is in a good location, with a lake on one side and a commercial street on the other. Parking is convenient. If the hotel parking lot is full, you can park the public parking lot 50 meters away and stay free before 8:00. The house is older, the room is small, and the facilities are old. The staff is very welcoming and the attitude is very good.
