I loved this hotel ! The history and furnishings were beautiful and the owners were very helpful. great location too right downtown. Very good breakfast as well, Really wished we had more than one night! Thanks Frank fir all your help👍 Kathleen and Maureen (Boston)

It was amazing! A beautiful historically authentic experience. Lots of antiques and pretty wallpaper, dark and quiet at night, so we slept well. Spa and massages are available, owners are very friendly and there's a pretty little herb garden at the entrance. I give it a five star because it was not modern and shiny and plastic. Thank you Courtland hotel.

Older 1900s hotel. It was clean and fun to stay at. In a great location. Fort Scott is a pretty town with lots of history. The Courtland Hotel and day spa had character, it was unique. The best part is talking to the owner and learning the history of the town.

We had a wonderful 5 day stay. The hotel is full of vintage charm!! Our room was spacious, comfortable, and again, charming! We were right in the heart of town with shops and restaurants within an easy walk. We will definitely go back the best time we're in Fort Scott!!

We could have not been happier with our stay here, close to everything we wanted to do. The folks that run this place are wonderful-friendly. We will be headed back at some point, if for nothing the great nostalgia of this place!

Highly recommend staying in this historic family owned hotel!! Very clean and well appointed rooms. We had room 16 which is a King room. Comfortable bed! Owners live on sight and are wonderful to visit with. Restaurants with 2 block walking distance as well as historic Fort Scott grounds & museum. We will definitely stay here again!!!

The hotel is very clean. The decor is beautiful. You can tell the owners care a lot about their property. The staff is very friendly, making sure guests have everything they need. Will definitely stay again if I'm in the Fort Scott area.

Lovely historic hotel with homey feel. Beautiful tin ceilings, gorgeous lobby, relaxing rooms. Our stay was quiet in room 15 with a large king bed and a recliner and big lounge chair. In room fridge was handy. My only thing I could complain on is the shower. I’m guessing due to the age of the building the hot water heater must be aways from the bathroom. It took a very long time to get hot water. But it did finally get hot. The room was super clean! Owners are so nice! Coffee, muffins and juice for breakfast. The adjoined spa was nice. We did a couples massage we booked ahead of time. It was nice. Give this hotel a try, we would stay again!!

We spent only 1 night, the hotel had a great atmosphere and staff were all friendly. Room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Note no elevators or 1st floor rooms. Not a concern for us. Will be coming back on our next trip through Fort Scott.
