This is a review of the Wyndham Super Eight hotel in Ft OGLETHROPE Georgia. We arrived just in time to throw our things in the room before leaving to go to a funeral home for viewing hours. Upon returning after dark, around 7:30 PM We was very disappointed to find people loudly talking and laughing in the room next door to us. We turned the TV on to try and mask the noise from the adjoining room. However with all the noise I was dreading trying to get to sleep by about 10 because we were going to have a very busy day the next day with funeral and about 5 hours of driving. Thank goodness the people left the room or something as it did get quite before 10. Maybe these were employees or something ? If I had more time to look at the room when we checked in and not been so tired when we returned to the hotel for the evening I would have been able to look the place over better and makes some kind of adjustment. We had requested a handicapped room, maybe it had not been rented in a while and accounts for some of the uncleanliness but shouldn’t. This room was not suitable accommodations for us with the uncleanliness, cigarette burns in the bathroom counter, yuck in the bathroom sink handle, paper thin walls, lumpy pillows, and uncomfortable bed. With the light of day the next morning, it was obvious this hotel was well worn inside and outside. The breakfast bar had a basket of apples, three juice boxes, a couple boxes of cereal but no milk. If the breakfast bar had ever been fully stocked it surely had not been replenished as the morning went along, we were seriously disappointed!!! This just wasn’t what we were used to or what I was expecting in fact I had stayed in that exact same hotel about 12 years earlier and it was fine at that time and it was only a Super Eight not associated with Wyndham. I can guarantee that my husband and I will not be back to this hotel. The charge for this room thur *********** was $95.39 I would value this room at under $50.00
