Top rated hotels in Fort Lauderdale

Hampton Inn Ft. Lauderdale Airport North Cruise Port

Near the airport, there is a shuttle bus. Hotel service is very good. There is no safe in the room, the hotel does not have a restaurant but there is breakfast, but there is McDonald's next to it and it is time to walk. The room was clean and tidy. If you are in the FLL transfer or very late, it is quite convenient to sleep here.

These were abnormal circumstances - it was a first ever “walk in” for me, and while my intention was to get to this brand, I was aiming at the one near FLL airport and for some reason ended up here. The staff I have encountered were all very friendly and polite. The hotel itself, though, is very outdated in in dire need of a complete renovation. The beds are very springy, which might be fine for some, but is not up to par with today’s standard. I was so tired that it was ok and I had a good and long sleep - hence “not terrible”. Breakfast- I got there, took a look and took a pass… never have I seen such a miserable offering in a hotel that is graded as a 3 star. I can not testify to the actual taste and quality, but the fact that it’s all done with paper plates, plastic cutlery and unappealing looks, was enough for me not to try. The surroundings of the hotel are not the most pleasant and food options are, well, not as one would hope. If this was a cheap 2 star motel, that would be ok, but 240 USD (including 5$ for parking, breakfast and all taxes) seems quite steep of a price for what it offers.

The check-in process is very smooth and the front desk staff is very efficient. At the same time, the entire booking process and communication process are very simple and efficient, the hotel's facilities are very good, and the coffee tea table in the lobby is also very good and very good.
