I stayed at this hotel 2/19-2/23 and was in 4 different rooms in 4 nights. The first room smelled like smoke even though it was non-smoking. We were switched right away. The second room windows had phallic symbols drawn all over them, there were no shelves or towel bars in the bathroom and a permanent shower door that only covered half the shower so water went all over the floor. We had disturbances in the hallway at approx 1:30a both nights and no one is at front desk from 11p - 7a to handle the situation, they expect you to call the police. The third room was small (we didn't care) with balcony and ocean view. No hair dryer, which we requested and never received. However, french doors that connected to the room next door. They had a lock but didn't shut all the way and had a huge gap.(pics attached) This is a huge issue for many reasons. Safety - as the occupants pulled on the doors at 10:30p and could have pulled hard and pulled them open. Disturbing - they were so loud and with the gap, we might as well have been in the same room because we could hear their entire conversation. They were loud from 10:30p - 11:30p and then again from 1:15a - 3a. This room is clearly an extension of the suite and no one should be allowed to stay in there that doesn't know the people staying in the suite, let alone charge them for it. Finally the fourth room - had ocean view and balcony but the shower handle came off when I turned it on, again no shelves or towel bars, the half shower door and we were woken up at 12:30a but what we think was power-washing going on in the kitchen outside because the generator was so loud.
The front desk receptionists tried to be as helpful as they could in switching our rooms. One of them did reimburse us our resort fees of $60 (which turned out they only did half). But it took time out of our vacation each day to talk with them and come in from the beach to pack, switch rooms and unpack our things. 2 of the 3 floor hallways we were in smelled like marihuana every time we got off the elevator. The Tiki Bar food and drinks are good although they are slow. The staff was vocal on 3 different occasions to us about them being short staffed.
I sent 3 emails to the general manager Mike Lang and left several messages with the front desk. He finally called to tell me he had passed on my email to someone named Sarah to reach out (his boss). He explained he was sorry for our issues and understood where we were coming from but that he couldn't do anything except offer a free night. Considering the trouble we went through, the fact that I don't know when my friend and I could come back and one night is not enough, I said we would prefer reimbursement. He did reimburse us the other half of the resort fees ($30). I asked him for Sarah's contact information and he wouldn't give it out and told me she would be in touch. I have sent 2 follow up emails to him that I haven't heard from her and have got nothing.
This is not how anyone expects to spend their vacation. Time consuming and frustrating to say the very least. It is even more aggravating that they are not responding to try to make it right. I've reported this hotel to the BBB and am awaiting a response.

I must say I almost didn't book through Trip.com after reading some of the negative comments but that was NOT my experience at all! I saved money significantly by booking through them for the Oceanfront Suite and was able to confirm with the Hilton property right away that I was confirmed for what I booked. I would definitely book using Trip.com again in the future. The hotel itself was in an amazing location, great room view and value for the price. A few updates would make it exceptional but overall was still great.

I took my daughter on a mother daughter trip. We stayed only 1 night. The hotel staff went above and beyond. They were so incredibly helpful! They allowed us to check in early the day we arrived and even allowed a late checkout the following day! They were so helpful getting the free bike rental, even brought a toothbrush to my room when I realized I had forgotten mine. Amazing staff.
This hotel was cute, very close to the beach and not to far to get to shops. We didn't have a carso we walked or rode bikes everywhere. It's an older hotel, the floors have not been updat, but the beds and bathroom were clean and comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

My review is a little late but My husband and I with our 2 kids, stayed at the W and we had a great experience. We were there the last week of July. We stayed for 8 days. The hotel is beautiful, very upscale. Lots of amenities. From when we checked in, everyone was super nice. We had a great view of the beach from our Balcony. We stayed on the 21st floor and our floor was very quiet. Our room was very clean, always smelled good as soon as you would walk out of the elevator into the hallways. Hotel was very clean. Our room was always serviced. The room was super nice. Great access to the beach. Valet service was great, everyone was super nice. We did not eat at the hotel though because it was pretty pricey. Overall we had a great experience and definitely would return back to the W in the future.

Outdated facilities, especially the cold and hot water pressure is very small, the amount of water is large, uncomfortable! Breakfast is good. The location is excellent. The room is quiet.

Although I found the furniture in my room to be old and worn, which was unusual for a Westin property, the room was very clean. The highlight of the stay was the exceptional customer service provided by the director of front office Michele Dela Cruz and the front desk representative Tatiana, (hope I spelled that correctly), they greeted me with a smiling face and a professional demeanor. They were very helpful and quickly addressed concerns or requests that I had during my stay. Let me not forget to mention that it’s obvious that the excellent service is clearly a standard because Suzanne and Freely were equally attentive in the lounge as well as Ambrose and Antonio in the restaurant. The employees have no control on how the hotel is furnished but they all made the stay enjoyable! Because of those folks I’ll be sure to visit again. Well done in the hiring arena Westin!!

Driving past Fort Lauderdale and seeing the seascape, I booked three sea view king rooms on the beach. At the time of check-in, there were only two rooms facing the Atlantic Ocean, one super-road, but there was a bay on the side of the road where the yacht was moored, so the hotel explained that it was also a sea view room. Hotel facilities are old, but the location is good The window is a vast sea, and the road is the beach. This marriott is much worse than Miami, but the price is much more expensive. Parking costs $34 a night. You can consider going to the self-parking less than 50 meters from the hotel, as long as 1.7 dollars for 10 hours.

Very Good
GGuest UserThis was absolutely the best Marriott that I've ever stayed at, by far. It was spotlessly clean and the staff could not be more helpful and professional everyone that I came in contact with!! The location was perfect as I was going to a show and it was right around the corner. My compliments to Assistant General Manager Debra Smith who was always available and went above and beyond to ensure 100% satisfaction. I noticed her with other guests, being just as hospitable. I also noticed her with staff members and she was very encouraging, kind, and motivating. She is the real deal, a true gem! The entire staff was outstanding I cannot wait to go back. Thank you!
GGuest UserWe stayed here before our cruise and returned after our cruise. We changed our tickets from January to March because of Covid, which complicated things, but the staff were super helpful in being sure we were taken care of. Perry, in particular, was so helpful in getting things set up before-hand. On our return from the cruise, we arrived well before our 3 pm check-in and our plane left several hours after check-out the next day. Although they were very busy, they were generous in accommodating us during much of that time. Fritz was so friendly and helpful at the front desk through both of our stays. Jacqueline, too. After providing a later then usual checkout, he also welcomed us to stay in the lobby until it was time to go to the airport and kept our luggage as we went to eat a late lunch at the restaurant nearby. They have pick and drop at the airport, which is fantastic. The airport is close. It was only a 5 minute Uber trip to the cruise port. We had some trouble with the TV in our room and Jacqueline came up to help us out, even though they were busy. The breakfasts were hot and tasty. There was a delicious, reasonably priced German place with a nice atmosphere within easy walking distance--about 1/2 a block away. There were several other restaurants, including fast food across the busy street. My father is in a wheel chair and we had no trouble with him getting around the hotel and to the German restaurant. (The restaurants across the street were a longer walk with him because the street was too busy for the wheel chair, so we needed to walk down to the traffic light. Cutting across the street was super quick.) Our accommodations were fine. All in all a very pleasant experience with a friendly, helpful staff.
AAndriy LishchynskyyThis is a pet friendly hotel, so you will see dogs everywhere. We stayed in the room next to back exit the its slaming till.late night and starting early morning made our night almost sleepless.
Location i just 3min walk from the shopping area.
Breakfast was very good . The swimming pool was closed during Milton harricane, which I think was unreasonable, because nothing was happening on that side of Florida
莫莫In order to take a rest on the cruise. There is a shuttle bus to the airport, but there is a charge to go to the cruise terminal. Hotel location is relatively biased, only the petrol station convenience store and far away fast food
CCroneNice hotel in great location with direct access to the beach and local restaurants.
Service was OK, the team always seemed to be trying hard to deliver best possible service, only exception was at the Breeze Cafe during the daytime where the lady really appeared to lack interest in being at work.
Wonderful pool area which was surprisingly busy and good atmosphere watching the Fifa World Cup on tvs at the bar.
Room was OK, good facilities. Only criticism was door lock to balcony didn't work and there was a horrendous smell on first day - like a dead animal or wet carpet?. I left the balcony door open whilst in the room to air it out which seemed to resolve it.
QQueenxEchoIt’s a great location but the rooms are very old feeing. It’s infested with cockroaches and the woman at the fent desk (black hair heavy set ) is the owner and she’s always extorting money out of people .. online you can book a room for $85 but u go to her in person she’s charging u $130 and if you check in early she wants $30 extra oh and I’m not checking into my room for 2 hours yet , use the toilet and it floods out my room and she charged me $50. But I’m the one who had to sit around HALF OF FHE DAY WIRH PISS WATER ALL OVER MY FLOORS and the maintenance man coming in and out for 3 hours . I should have been compensated for thr 5 hours of Bull**** but of course she ain’t gonna cough uo on no money. Anyways it’s straight and she takes cash
Very clean, and accommodating, while I had prepaid for the room, and my husband I checked in late, at first they said they were full, but a young lady and the front desk clerk asked us if we needed a sofa bed, and we said no, and the room they gave us sans sofa, was comfortable, clean and perfect for our needs. We appreciated that.
Jjayalong01I stayed here 3/22/24. First off when we came in the esthetics was dated. It looked like they never replaced nothing in 50years. The chairs were peeling, the elevator was scary, there is no lighting for the outside rooms, they didn’t bother to repaint or replace $h!t, and the flooring was terrible. It’s so many things I could name. Then we were spraying things down and found this bed bug, but we only saw the one pictured below so we thought we were good. Baby when I say something ate the hell out of me Allllll night. It ate me like a buffet. I drifted off but something was biting me and I jumped up to a little bug eating my @$$ like the last supper. We checked out that scary piece of scrap metal and brick at 4 in the morning. I am still itching right now! Don’t book here!!!!!!
FFloridaawesome hotel Great friendly staff and very clean property I recommend the hometown studios and suites by Red roof fort Lauderdale FL to everyone
