Along with my friends we have been staying with Natalie and Mark for the last 12 years, always with the same feeling of comfort and relaxed atmosphere. The rooms are of an excellent quality and everything that you may require is catered for, the Scottish breakfast is plentiful and perfectly cooked, ready to set you up for the day, as a motorcyclist I appreciate the safe parking . Having worked in hotels for the last48 years I assure you this is true hospitality at its best.

My husband and I plus are wee pug have stayed at The Kettle House many times, it’s a home from home in Scotland. Natalie and Mark are outstanding hosts, the rooms are warm and cosy with everything you need. The beds are comfortable and the rooms are always spotless. The Kettle House does a delicious breakfast from a full Scottish to a bowl of porridge, everyone is catered for. Natalie always does little personal touches, a freshly baked cake is always a welcome surprise after a long day exploring beautiful Scotland. The Kettle House has a beautiful magical garden, which I always enjoy a stroll around. It’s situated close to Fort Augustus, the beautiful canal and of course stunning Loch Ness. I highly recommend this B&B.

Probably the best b and b in Scotland, if not anywhere. The rooms are spotlessly clean, as you would expect but there are lots of touches which show that thought has gone into making your stay a pleasant one; homemade cupcakes on arrival, cutlery for your takeaway etc. Location is quiet and peaceful but just a 10 minute canal side walk from the centre of Fort Augustus. Breakfasts are magnificent. The full Scottish is filling enough to see you through the day although there are plenty of alternatives should you prefer something lighter. But what really makes this place special are the hosts, Natalie and Mark, for whom nothing is too much trouble. We've been visiting here every year since they first took over 10 (?) years ago and they've always gone out of there way to make us feel welcome. One year I asked if they had any mint tea so now when we arrive there is always a supply of mint tea bags in my room! If you're visiting the Highlands I would wholeheartedly recommend The Kettle House, I don't think you'll find anywhere better.

Lovely house and settings. Beautiful grounds and well kept property. Spotlessly clean. Breakfast was pleasant, plenty of choice, which you choose the previous night. Easy self service check in if necessary. Is a bit of a walk outside the centre, if the weather isn't good.

Absolutely delightful place to stay, picturesque location and hosts that are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are extremely clean and has everything you could need for a short or long stay. Breakfast has many options and everything we tried was cooked amazingly, I would highly recommend the scrambled eggs which was cooked to perfection. We will be back for sure.

Great location to start exploring the wonderful Scottish countryside and combined with a lovely host, fab breakfast, and comfortable bed, leads to the ideal B&B. Natalie provided 5 motor cyclists with a lovely base to start our exploring, albeit through changeable weather conditions. She booked a lovely restaurant and arranged the taxi to take us and fetch after a great night out. Definitely worth a visit if you can get in cos she's got plenty of bookings. It's worth trying, though, just in case.

I wish I could give this guesthouse a higher rating than 5! It’s obvious how hard the owners work to give their guests an exceptional experience throughout their stay. The house itself is cosy and inviting from the moment you walk through the front door. Our room was well furnished with a small sofa, TV and DVD player (with a good selection of DVDs to choose from), a mini fridge and tea/coffee facilities - including fresh milk in the fridge and a welcoming homemade cupcake each! The en-suite was a good size with a powerful hot shower and the bed was extremely comfortable! My favourite thing about our stay was the breakfast. A wide selection of cereals, yoghurts and fruit was readily available on the table to help yourself to, and then you chose which hot breakfast item you’d like off a menu which included items such as a full Scottish plate, salmon and eggs, egg and soldiers etc. As we were only here for the one night, we didn’t get a chance to walk into Fort Augustus to see how long the walk would be, but the drive was less than 5 minutes. I could happily have spent a week at this guesthouse!
