This was a very welcoming and relaxing place. The people were kind and friendly. The rooms and the entire place was sparkling clean. The beds were comfy. The decor was like a trip back in time and well done! Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious, made to order with several options. We also ate supper there in the new addition. Happy hour 4 dollar drinks were much appreciated. The food was excellent. We both had the grouper. The price reasonable. We are looking forward to returning again on our next trip through Foley. It is a nice destination for a evening with dinner, with a wonderful hotel room and excellent breakfast in the morning served 8:30-9:30.

My first visit: wonderful ambience. Great dessert. Interesting menus. Great prices. However for the manager: the Rueben did not taste like a Rueben. The bread was hard and nearly burned. The gumbo was great and salad was perfect. The toast served with gumbo was actually burned. I find it odd and unacceptable that a restaurant with such a good word of mouth reputation would serve new comers burned and nearly burned bread. I was offended. I am a local and really hope this never happens again. I will return again and hope for better!

We can’t say enough about this venue! The dinner was phenomenal; I had outstanding grilled catfish with a crawdad sauce while my husband had a beautiful 10oz fillet, done perfectly. Our waiter Matt was personable and very accommodating and the receptionist was amazing, showing us around and explaining the history of of the building and the new owner’s success at creating a one-of-a- kind establishment. There was dancing upstairs if we desired but the downstairs restaurant was quiet and comfortable and one of the few places you could actually converse with people at your table and hear them. A wonderful gem!

Das historische Gebäude ist liebevoll hergerichtet und hat einen speziellen Charme. Egal ob von innen oder außen. Unser Zimmer war klein, aber das waren auch die Zimmer zur damaligen Zeit. Das massive Gebäude ist klimatisiert und die vorbeigehende Hauptstraße hört man kaum. Man kann dort Essen oder an der Bar etwas trinken und mit den Ownern sprechen. Das Frühstück ist super. Absolute Empfehlung - hidden Champion!

Our accommodations were Amazing!! The staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcome!! Lulu at the front desk is just precious! Sam makes perfect cocktails for you thirsty needs and the food is DEVINE!!! We will be going wanting to stay again!!

On my visit to Foley, AL from my home in Michigan, a friend from Baton Rouge agreed to meet me. We happened upon this charming hotel and restaurant. The food was delicious and our server was excellent, Heather! I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area.

We had a very good lunch at the Hotel Magnolia, which is a lovely old Southern style hotel and restaurant. The dining room is elegant, table cloths and napkins, fabric chair covers. It's a lovely venue. Our server was Clayanna, personable and knowledgeable, quickly brought our drinks. We both ordered the Reuben lunch special, $15.00, which came with steak fries. The Reuben was done just right, the marbled rye was grilled nicely, and the fries were perfect, crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. After lunch we admired the main floor of the beautiful old hotel. We will return to dine there.

We had an amazing stay at the Hotel Magnolia. The building and rooms are beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The staff is amazing-- so hospitable and welcoming. Sadly we had to leave before breakfast but we look forward to enjoying that next time. Thank you to the generous owners who donated a gift certificate for our one-night stay to an auction benefitting a local community organization-- and we were the fortunate winners. We can't wait to return.

Had the most enjoyable supper last week with friends, atmosphere excellent, service excellent, and…….the steak 🥩, the best I’ve had since moving down here in 2018….and I’ve had steak in a lot of places on the gulf coast….This will be a definite “go too place”.
