As part of an organized group tour, we spent two nights here. Unfortunately, it rained pretty much nonstop during our stay, so we couldn't explore Flores as much as we wanted to but the island seemed very cute and quaint, with some great restaurants and cafes. A great starting point for tours to Tikal. My roommate and I were at first given a very small double room with hardly any space to move or store our luggage. We were able to switch to a slightly bigger double room (#201), which allowed us to leave our bags without falling over them. The room was clean. The bathroom and shower were small but clean. Most of the time, we had hot water. It would have been great if the bathroom had a few hooks to leave clothes or towels. It was very noisy at night from nearby bars/nightclubs. It also got quite cool at night and I was cold with the simple bedsheet provided (I'm sure I could have gotten a blanket from reception). For me, it was an okay stay for two nights and I'm sure we would have enjoyed it more with nicer weather but many folks in our group disliked this hotel. Have breakfast at Maple y Tocino - great place!
