Walk to the hotel is quite rough with narrow pavements + rocky surfaces. Convenient location to other sights (walking distance) and easy for light travelers. Would not recommend dragging heavy luggage to the hotel from the train station.

The hotel has a very special layout. It is good overall, but it is a little far from the station. Although it is a straight road, it takes about 15 minutes to walk.
European rooms are very suitable for drying clothes, because the space is very large. And it is separated from the sleeping room and the dressing room. The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The only thing to note is that the light in the room is relatively dark, but the size of the bed is very big enough, and the mattress is quite comfortable to sleep on.

Perfectly located in the city, this beautiful hotel gives all the old world charms and hospitality you could dream of. The staff was excellent, the rooms spacious, and breakfast was amazing, Great recommendations for dinner and a wine lovers treat for all the tasting rooms. I could not get my wife off the balcony for the views!

Hotel is located conveniently to the train station but a but far afield from the major attractions which cuts both ways as location of hotel was quiet compared to the historic area. Staff in the breakfast room were exceptional, however, staff at the front desk were not. We felt pressured from one front desk associate to book reservations at a nearby restaurant recommended by this gentlemen and overall the front desk associates were not so friendly. Breakfast spread was adequate but it was irritating to have to make a 'reserved' time for breakfast each morning as we prefer more flexibility.

The staff were very welcoming on arrival. Baggage taken straight to our room. Breakfast was excellent - not just continental, cooked to order eg. poached eggs on toast etc. Late afternoon to mid evening there were complimentary pastries, tea and coffee available in the bar. Plenty of help and suggestions from the reception staff regarding where to eat, how to get to an address and generally things to do. The room was well appointed although a little dark due to shutters over the window. Lights wee required at all times. Plenty of toiletries supplied even toothbrush and toothpaste! The fridge was kept topped up with water. The location is about half a mile from the main train station. If you have luggage I would use a taxi as the pavements are narrow at times and quite uneven is places. Lovely hotel.

When planning our return trip to Florence staying at the Hotel Rapallo was a must! From checkin, to room comfort, amenities and the breakfast all rated a 5 star. The staff were gracious, helpful and accommodating. Lorenzo makes visitors feel like family! Well located, easy walking distance to many sights, and overall comfort and elegance the Hotel Rapallo is a gem in a beautiful city.
