Sleep Inn Florence

Very friendly and professional staff. Hiram is especially friendly, welcoming, and professional. He always has made the extra effort to find "just the right room" for me. Superb hot breakfast with lots of options. Great location between Florence and Darlington and well enough off I-95 to avoid road noise. Rooms are very clean and well maintained.

Rude front desk clerk. She was more concerned with speaking with her friends than helping us check in. First room we were given was not at all clean. Still food in the mini fridge. The bathroom sink did not drain. We were given another room. Not much better. The room felt like a steam room. The AC was set to 60 degrees but not cooling the room. The bed was pushed up against the AC unit which was probably why it wouldn't cool the room. Third room we were put in was acceptable. However, the shower floor was heavily stained. Did not feel like it was clean, so we didn't use it. The morning clerk when we checked out looked like he just woke up. I will never stay here again.

We stayed at this Sleep Inn 28 January 2023, conveniently located just off I-95. We enjoyed a hot beverage at check-in and proceeded to our room. The lobby, corridors and our room were all clean and in good repair. The king bed was comfortable, the room was quiet and we slept well. After a refreshing shower we took advantage of the complimentary breakfast and set out back towards Canada. The room met our needs and we would stay here again.

Booked the hotel as it is at an exit off the interstate and we were driving from the northeast to Florida. I am a Choice Privileges Gold Member for over 25 years. When we did the booking there were two categories of double rooms, with one room type indicated as recently renovated. We booked the cheaper of the two but a day before arriving I called to say that if there were upgrades available when we arrived I would appreciate it. The women at the front desk said "We don't do upgrades." THAT IS THE FIRST TIME I HAVE EVER BEEN TOLD THAT!! Also, the breakfast situation left much to be desired. When I asked if there was any more whole wheat toast the woman (might have been the same one) said "That's all there is " and this was an hour and half before breakfast service was to end! I found a whole loaf of whole wheat bread in the kitchen so it seems she just didn't feel like checking!! There were other sorts of items in the kitchen that hadn't been put out!!! Finally the shower was pretty bad. I should have taken a photo but suffice it to say we did NOT take showers. The thing is, all of these matters could have easily been remedied!!! NOT GOOD!

if you are looking for a 5 star motel this is not your place,but if your looking for a clean place , reason price to stay this is your place. there is a shoney resturant right in front.is a little off the road.
