Svingen Guesthouse - Panoramic Fjord Views in Flåm

Our host, Joe, was most welcoming and showed us to a room with a large window opening to a spectacular view of the fjord. That night, one of several congenial guests joined us to walk a short distance down to the fjord to enjoy the floating sauna and icy dips in the refreshing water. More than once, we joined guests in the living room to enjoy the view, converation, and wine. In the tiny town of Flam, about a five -minute walk along the fjord, we enjoyed several nice meals, rode a Rib Boat for a close examination of two fjords, and finally caught the ferry to Gudvangen to continue our journey to Bergen. The Svingen Guesthouse could not be more perfectly located. Guests have access to a full kitchen. Several of the guests opted to take a break from eating out and prepare meals themselves. There is also access to a washer and dryer, which some of the guests who had been traveling several weeks really appreciated.
