Comfort Inn I-17 & I-40

Within an hour each direction there is something cool to look at. The staff was very helpful when an item got left behind and I had to go back to retrieve it.

We had stayed in the past and once again this hotel came up to expectations. The room was lovely and clean. Breakfast was good with quite a lot of choice We used it as a base for The Grand Canyon and Sedona We used taxis to go to downtown Flagstaff and they were very reasonable

This hotel has beautiful decor throughout. The large airy breakfast area is what made us decide to book here. It was a very nice area to eat breakfast in. Their buffet was pretty good but could have used fresh fruit (they only had some bananas in a bowl). The only other fruit was packaged fruit cups in a fridge. The rooms were pretty basic Comfort Inn rooms but clean and well kept. The queen rooms that we were in had a shower/toilet area that is separate from the sink area which is out in the room. I'm not a fan of that configuration but since I was in my room alone it wasn't a problem. Otherwise you don't have as much privacy if sharing a room with a friend. There is a small pool and hot tub outside in front of the hotel. I was surprised that it wasn't an indoor pool since Flagstaff can get pretty cold and have snow. There are several restaurants in the area including an Olive Garden just down the street where we ate dinner. This hotel would be a good choice for stopping in Flagstaff or visiting the Grand Canyon.
